how do you curb the sweet tooth cathe?

PLease help,

I need to drop 5 lbs or so for bikini time and I am having the hardest time curbing my nighttime sweet tooth. Do you have any suggestions? I eat fairly good all day, about 6 meals, pretty clean etc, but my big problem is at night (around 8 or 9) I want sweets. I know I just have to stop this to get ready for summer. Do you have any advice? Do you have this problem and how do you handle it?

ANy advice,suggestions, would be appreciated.

Hope your knee is feeling better.

Thanks,
Kristie Schultz

I fight it too and it is hard. Good luck.

Guzzle water.
Brush your teeth.
Chew gum.
Go do some ab work.
Finish a project you've been meaning to do.
Go to bed.
Laundry.
Read a book.

Hi Kristie! I usually brush my teeth or have a cup of green tea with splenda or suck on a Ricola herb and honey cough drop.

Do you have a photo of yourself looking great in a bikini? That always helps to peek at when feeling weak :)

Also, having an apple can help with sweet cravings both because they are somewhat sweet (but low glycemic) and because the fiber in them (pectin) will help you feel satisfied.

Just make sure that you have taken into account the calories in the apple and that they are not in addition to your daily calorie intake, but part of it.

Cathe mentioned green tea. I'd also suggest some herbal teas that are naturally somewhat sweet (or sweet with the addition of a bit of stevia). Teas with mint in can be very satisfying to the taste (if you like mint!). Unsweetened herbal teas also have 0 calories. And some have therapeutic benefits (ie: camomile helps you relax, ginger and mint are good for digestion).
