How do you check and respond to private messages?

I got some emails that people have private messaged me and I really want to answer them but I have no idea how to get into and how to respond. Can someone help me??

Hi Amy,

I think you go to "user Menu" and then click on your "inbox" and the messages are there?

I'm not positive - let me know if that works ok?
