How do I post a picture??

Lots of times I see people including a picture in their posts (not a picturetrail, just one shot in a post). I've tried everything that I can think of and searched it but I can't figure it out. HELP!:7

The picture has to be on the net somewhere.

Right click on the picture you want to post.
Go down to properties and click.
copy the Address (URL) of the picture.
Paste the Address (URL) in the comment box here.

One word of advice, Laurie. Sometimes you'll find that when you right click on Properties, it doesn't show the full URL including the file extension. Without that, the picture won't show up. Usually it's a .jpg file.

If your picture is just stored on your computer at home, it won't work. It has to be hosted somewhere that you can link it from.

Laurie...Bill and Shelley are right!! I use Picture trail which costs $20 a year..(I think), but there are some free image hosting sites where you can upload the pics on your PC from and store on their site. Then you can copy the image location and post it here. The sites usually have instructions on how to post to message boards. Here are 2 free sites I found http://photobucket.com/ http://www.imageshack.com/ Good luck..

I think it used to be Picturetrail was free for a trial time and then you had to pay or your avatar disapeared!...so maybe it is still free?....

I also get picture trail free, I stopped using it for a long while that is why my picture disappeared, then I got an email from them telling me they were reactivating my account and it would still be free. So I am posting pics there again...
