How cold/warm is it in your world?

Dani53----pretty close to you. Susanville, CA. About 80 miles northeast of Reno. We always ski at Mt. Rose. Snowing like heck here today too! Hasn't stopped since 7:00 a.m. Snow shoveling is one of my workouts.....haha.

:)

Howdy Rhea! I am actually in Truckee, and I know exactly where Susanville is because we go up there for a variety of reasons. One is scout camp each summer. I love that little town, but I had no idea you got so much snow. I guess I should have, but I think higher up towards Lassen for some reason. Susanville actually reminds me a lot of Truckee with all the old store fronts and such. Very beautiful place to live. My sister is a big Mt.Rose fan, but we stay more local with Northstar, Alpine, and SugarBowl. Nice to "meet" you!

i am sooooo glad to be living in houston tx-not up north. a couple of days in winter in gets below 50. now its 70's and i still have to wear a jacket! i can't wait til summer.

I lived with 7 years of very low temps and snow every winter in New Zealand. and after two years of loving the novalty of snow and open fires, I was soooooooo over it!!

Now living in Australia, I do hanker for the snow occasionaly, but today is absolute brilliant here, properly too hot, but thats Summer for ya.

HI Dani..

Nice to "meet" you too. My aunt lives in Truckee. My uncle skis at Squaw. (he says that a good ski year is 90 days of skiing!) I just love living near the mountains. "See" you later!
