Hi,Amy here

was wondering if any of you guys can give me some suggestions on the ever so often hunger that starts at 9 or 10pm?

I drink water, gets old but helps(not to thrilled about the potty visits though!)
I got a fiber supplement, helps for a little while, but don't wanna take too much of that!
anymore suggestions!!
Thanks!
also, just started the basic step(Cathe)about two weeks ago, when should I do body fusion.(That is the next one in line, right!)
been doing step aerobics for a year now.Love it!
Thanks.

I get away from the tv and go read in bed or in my extra room UPSTAIRS AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN.

I find having a small, healthy snack takes away the hunger pangs.
Some suggestions are:
- no fat yoghurt with fruit
- air popped popcorn
- orange
- apple with peanut butter or
a banana

This holds me until breakfast. As the snack is small it doesn't interfere with my sleep either.

If you're feeling comfortable with basic step try body fusion.

I try not to eat after 7pm, but when I do I have an apple with a few cashews or 1 slice of peanut butter bread with only a tiny bit of peanut butter. Or, you can do air popped popcorn. I am so tired of popcorn though.

I say go for body fusion.

i plan my meals to actually have a snack in the evening..... i spread my eating out to 6 times a day... breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack.

i'm usually hungry around 8ish anyways... so i have my snack... then in a little while i go to bed (i go to bed early cuz i get up at 4 a.m.)

the whole not eating at night is a myth... calories in = calories out.... plain and simple...

as long as you have the calories available to eat... it truly does not matter what time you eat them!!!!!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

I've struggled with the same issue - I'm a recovering emotional eater - lost 50 pounds 12 years ago and have kept it off! Night-time snacking was the hardest thing for me to overcome...here's what worked for me...
*Most nights I have a bag of the 94% fat-free orville redenbacher smart-pop popcorn and I eat it slowly to fill my need to munch!
*Brush your teeth
*I keep busy - read a book, I learned to knit to keep my hands busy, call a friend, etc.
*Don't give up - it took me years to overcome this habit - you can do it!

I often fill myself up on decaf tea or coffee. That usually gives me a feeling of fullness (if you don't mind having to pee more..ha).

This may sound kind of stupid but I have a nightly ritual where I 'close' the kitchen. Everything is washed, put away, the following day's food is prepped, and then I turn the lights out and leave. If I don't have any more reasons to go back in there then I won't be tempted to snack.
