How about Spaghetti Squash?

Just bought one of these tonight and don't know that first thing to do with it...any ideas?:eek:
 
1 medium spaghetti squash
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 stick butter
Salt and pepper

Use a paring knife to prick squash all over. Place in a baking dish and bake 1 hour or until soft. Cut squash in half. Scoop out and discard seeds. Using a fork, scrape flesh in strings into a serving bowl. Toss with Parmesan and butter and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Or, you can substitute Spaghetti sauce instead of the butter.
 
Love, love, love spaghetti squash!

I cut it in half. Scoop out the seeds. Place cut side down in a pan with about a half inch of water in it. Bake approx 1 hour. Scoop out and mix with cinnamon and a bit of sweetener if you have sweet tooth.

After baking if you scrape it out carefully with a fork you get the best 'spaghetti' effect. I love it anyway you would use spaghetti - with tomato sauce and parmesan; meat sauce; cream, parmesan, garlic and parsley.

Does it taste...you know...squashy? I don't like squash, but would love a pasta alternative.

Get out! With Cinnamon and sweetner...my kids will love this, they already love butternut squash for breakfast with butter and maple syrup...thanks!:)
