Honeybunch Veins

Cathlete
Hello. This is my first post since having my veins done on Friday. The doctor is a surgeon and my insurance did not pay for the procedure because they consider it cosmetic.

All I can say is OUCH!!! I found the procedure to be painful and I am still really sore and bruised from groin to ankles. I know another person who had this done and didn't find it to be painful at all. I don't consider myself a wimp but it hurts.

The doc said no exercise except routine walking and a little seated upper body for two weeks. I am anxious to start exercising because this is the longest I have ever gone without but on the other hand I am so sore that I really don't think I could.

I have cut back on my calories to try to keep from gaining weight while I am healing.

I'll keep you posted.

The pain would be worth it to me, since I work so hard to get in shape and my left leg looks so terrible. One leg looks like I work, and one looks like I am sort of working. Frustrating!!!! I need to check into this.

Thanks, and keep me posted.

RE: Get well soon musclemaiden :)

I hope you get well soon :) . My problem is with spider veins and today I just had my first laser treatment and all I can say is OUCH!!! too. Oh gosh the things we do sometimes, but we are fitness nuts and it's not fair that after all the hard work we still can't look good in shorts right? Anyways my mother is thinking of having the varicose veins surgery someday. I hope you keep us posted so I can inform her. She says I'm very brave. But I think you are braver than me LOL!
