Honeybunch Vein Remvoal Info

Cathlete
I am having my varicose veins removed tomorrow I will let you know how it goes. According to my research years ago vein stripping was standard practice for dealing with large, bulging, varicose veins. Stripping involved large incisions that left scars and a painful recuperation including prolonged bed rest.

What I am having is called Ambulatory Phlebectomy. It is a procedure that was developed in Europe, it is done in a surgeon's office, using local novocaine-type medicine. Tiny 2-3 mm punctures are painlessly(I hope they are right about this) made and the vein is removed in small segments. No stitches are involved. In most cases you can return to routine activity the next day. (No pounding or weights for lower body though for 2 weeks).

I will post again this weekend to update you on it.

What kind of doctor is doing the procedure? I'd probably need a referral to a specialist. Thanks for the info, and I hope it goes well.
