Home-grown intervals for the easily bored

Here's an idea if you're bored with your taped workouts

Needed: a golf course and an XM or Sirius (did I spell that right?)radio - not Cardio Coach - remember this is for the easily bored! You could also do this at a park or on the streets, but you have to have a route with hills. Golf courses are also easier on the feet. You'll be amazed what this does for your stamina!

The down-side: you have to do this way early in the morning or in the evening when no golfers are out on the course

Set the radio to a station that plays varied tempo music (my favorite is Enlighten - Southern Gospel) and adjust your walking or running pace to the music. Here's where the intervals come in - run up any hill you encounter, and don't skip any.

The fun part is since you're listening to satellite radio, you never know what they're playing next!

This is also way cheaper than buying new DVD's which I can't afford right now.
