Holiday traveling

You've got that right...that is way more scary than my trip down the snowy interstate this afternoon to get home! That looks claustrophic... :)

Oh man, I feel horrible! :-( I'm flying my dad in for Christmas and he had a lay over in Chicago! Fortunately, he's in the air now and on his way to my house! He did say it was rather busy. I guess with 2 delays we should count ourselves very fortunate he's only 30 minutes late.

We are traveling to Vermont by car, thankfully. We've traveled by air early on Christmas Day and it was good. Seeing all those bags makes me wonder how many will get to the right owner?

I'm a sucker for the beautiful holiday cards showing lovely scenes of peaceful coziness, but let's face it: a card with this on the cover would be more realistic.

lol about the card, nancy! so true!

i make it a point NOT to travel (at least by air) on the holidays. it's the worst! i would much rather be in my house nice and cozy and not running around. i would much rather travel when the airports are less busy.

YIKES!! A friend of DH's is flying out of Chicago today and they are supposed to meet up tonight for dinner. I heard on the news earlier that there was a one hour delay on flights in Chicago, so I hope they get here without too much of a headache or delay!
