Hiking in Grand Junction, Ouray, Durango

We are headed that direction Friday morning. It is our FAVORITE place on the planet. Ouray has an awesome 4th celebration! Here is a website that has a link to trails. Our inlaws are hosting a campground near Durango. We are going to spend some time with them and just putz around for 2 weeks. Taking in Mesa Verde too. Here's the link http://parks.state.co.us/

I don't know much about Grand Junction, Ouray and Durango, but we went to Telluride last summer. It was gorgeous!!! We did a few hikes, I don't remember all the names but I know we hiked Bridal Vail. Here is a link to some hiking trails in Telluride.

We used to live near Durango and enjoyed the Animas Mountain trail. It's in town so you don't have to go out of the way to get there and you get great views along the way if you hike along the east side first. It's definitely worth hiking to the top of!
