What workouts do you use for your HIIT?

I use the 3 Imaxes. Not sure if SB counts??

Are there other ones you use?
 
2 of the 3 workouts on Hardcore Extreme are HIIT -- Hi/lo intervals and Interval blast plus legs. The other one is intervals, but also circuit. Imax Extreme on The Terminator is as well. The other 2 on that one (The Gaunlet and The Viper) have HIIT in them, but they are also circuit workouts. I also use High Intensity Step Mix by Tracey Staehle for HIIT. Also, the middle portions of both Body Maxes would be considered HIIT as well (I also count the Scrambled Eggs premix of BM2 for that, it's TOUGH!). Hope that gives you some variety and ideas :)

Basically any workout (workout segment) would be considerd HIIT if it takes your HR up and down in your zone--low to high. Workouts like the Imaxs, BM2 power circuits w/out weights, KM blast challenge. Parts like that. Hope this helps! :):D
 
Carol, I'm glad you brought that up. I always see that misunderstaning about HIIT and IT. Cathes workouts (Imaxes etc) are 'IT' Interval Training and 'HITT' is HIGH INTENSITY Interval Training. It is very difficult to maintain HITT for longer than 10 to 20 min. Most can maintain 'IT' for an hr. sometimes more.

Some of the HIIT training that I have seen, start you out at just 4 min. and work you up to 15 min. over a 8 week period. This does not iclude warm ups and cool downs.

Sounds like the stuff they do in Barry's Bootcamp cardio, though the workouts are 30 minutes.
