HiiT 30/30 for the first time

I bought this DVD some time ago and I've watched it so many times I had it memorized. Something in my head kept saying don't, you can't, you shouldn't... Well, this morning I did it. I did the whole thing! Granted 30/30 is the easier of the 3 workouts but for me, I'm still in disbelief! I did the plyos, the jumps, the lunges and finished about 9:00. It's now about 1:00 and I feel great! A little sore in the backside...where I need it!!

I guess I'm so thrilled with this I had to share because I had really thought it wasn't possible. Now, I'm ready for those new DVDs and can't wait!

I should have added in there that I have Cathe to thank for getting me in shape enough to do 30/30. I could not have attempted this even a few months ago. Thanks Cathe, from the bottom of my heart!!
 
I too stayed away from the Hiit dvd for a while. I guess I scare easily when it comes to Cathe:(. But I did it and loved it! In one of her wkouts she says "Don't worry, no one is watching". So when I come upon something difficult, I just go for it, even if its clumsy, 1 inch off the floor, barely lifting etc....I don't really care. The point is I'm moving and trying my best! Eventually I'll get there. I got here didn't I?

Good for you! Hiit is now one of my favorites....modifications and all! Be proud of your accomplishment!
 
Oh congratulationsI. I love the HiiTs. DWP is my personal favorite - in fact, probably my favorite Cathe cardio of all time. And even though Cathe says her team feels 30/30 is the easiest, I find 40/20 the easiest, yet it's supposed to be the hardest. So try the others and you may be surprised! Have fun!

Me too! I just did 30/30 for the first time last week. I did have to take more of a break before each of the consecutive power kicks sections (OMG!!!!!!!), but when I finished, I added another 4 intervals to make a nice, round 20 because it is a more complete number! For me, just having the courage, or maybe insouciance (pft! I can do anything for 30 secs! If I hate it, I can stop anytime.... Let's just give this a try and see what happens.....) to start and give something new a whirl is ALL THE BATTLE! Of course, that was last week, before the PMS-induced blues hit. If it had been this week, I'd never have put that DVD in!!

Good for you Susan: how about this coming week we try 40/20? What do you say?!!

Trixoo: thanks for saying that difficulty is a question of perception! You give me courage to tackle the 40/20 and DWP. I was scared there, for a while.....!

Clare! We're on. 40/20 here we come!! I was going to start Cathe's October rotation but I really liked September's rotation. I was doing the XTrain low impact HiiT instead of the other HiiT because, as I said earlier, I was afraid of it. But I think I'll do September another month and do the 40/20 this week! Thanks for that inspiration! Maybe that's what we need when we feel down...a cyber workout partner to keep us going!
