High Step Circuit?

I getting back into fitness and Cathe after an ankle sprain. I want to try some circuit workouts but am not ready for anything very high impact. What are your opinions of High Step Circuit? Is it still somewhat challenging? Are the moves tricky or bad for a recovering ankle? (Trying to avoid a lot of quick turns/pivots). I would put my level at intermediate at this point, and I am looking to lose weight/fat and gain some definition/tone up. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

I like this workout. The step sections are fairly simple choreography so I wouldn't think it would bother your ankle. When I do it I just do the cardio, lower body and abs, and tack on another upper body workout(the tubing doesn't do much for me). I get a good workout from it. Hope this helps!

Hi Thea,

Thought I'd throw in my thoughts...

I have been so focused on workouts like the IMAX's, KPC, KM and then some muscle endurance w/o's (ME, MM) that I really didn't pay attention to the High Steps.

I did High Step Challenge the other day and was so pleased at how hard I worked, how much fun it was and how sore I got 24 hours later.

I suppose in my case, it was just what I needed for a "change up" and my body responded so well. I lost 2 lbs this week, partly because of a new type of challenge.

"High Step Circuit" is very much a beginner workout, although you can probably make it more intense with higher weights.

"High Step Challenge," on the other hand is an AWESOME workout. The choreo is fairly simple and I think you can remove the high impact moves without much difficulty. The weight work is great. I just think you might get more bang for your buck with this one. :)

Cheers,
Marie

Thank you, all of you! I already own High Step Challenge, so I will give it a try and keep the moves low impact and see how it goes! Injuries sure suck!
