High Step Challenge - very fun!

Okay, so I finally did HSC... see, I have this small problem where I MUST OWN everything Cathe has produced, and then I don't always get right to all of the workouts because I'm having a love affair with one or another. I'm sure you all understand. :7

Anyway, so I did HSC for the first time today and I was surprised how much I liked this workout. I tend not to like circuit workouts for some reason and while I didn't find the cardio terribly challenging (and also, it was kinda short), I really liked the mix of exercises in this one. Particularly, I really enjoyed the interesting variations of exercises with the band - my triceps were totally fried from the behind-the-head extensions with the band, wow!

Very highly recommended!

Marie,
I know what you mean about HSC, the first time I did it I have "Whoohoo!" written next to it in my workout log:D It is fun, there's no time to get bored, and the music is great. Also, Cathe's hair is really pretty and that definitely counts!
I also agree about the cardio being a little light, so sometimes I do each segment twice, or I stick the cardio only premix on from HSTA at the end, or I combine the cardio from HSC and HSTA all on its own for a nice little 25ish minutes of cardio.

I have started doing circuits once a week and have had alot of fun. HSC is a fav because of the band use. On the Hardcore extreme DVD Imax3 intervals are used after the cardio wihich makes it interesting!!! But not all the weight segmants are included there. So I have done HSC and added an Imax1,2 or 3 interval after each HSC cardio for a buttkicking mish mosh!!! ...:)...Carole

Have you tried using an 8 inch step for the cardio? That might increase the intensity a little. This is one of my favorite circuits too. Some parts move a little bit fast for me because I have to sub something else in for all the pushups (due to wrist issues) and there really isn't any time to do that, but other than that, I like this one. I also like the band work, which surprised me a lot (I never liked it before in non-Cathe workouts).

Carole that's a great idea! I'll have to try that. Everyone is so good at coming up with variations! :)
