Hi everyone!

I am new to Cathe videos, but I love the one that I have!! I am in the process of ordering more. I do have one question for you guys...what type diet/nutrition do you guys follow with her videos?

I look forward to getting to know you guys!

Lisa

hi Lisa!

Welcome to the boards. You'll find the diet/nutrition question is one that is often debated here. Some eat very clean, while others, like me, try to eat mostly healthy with a few treats here and there.

We have vegans and foodies and raw fooders and cookie monsters....little bit of everything, food wise.

Oh, and watch out for Michele. She *hates* cardio. }(

I heard that!!:p :7

Welcome Lisa. I don't eat "clean", I love cookies, and I'd rather scrub toilets than do cardio:eek:

Hi Lisa,

Welcome!! I'm relatively new myself. As far as my eating habits, I try to eat as healthy as possible. I eat alot of boneless skinless chicken breasts and fish. But, I do have break downs and enjoy a GOOD snack once in awhile.

http://planetsmilies.net/15384.gif[/img] Lisa....I have followed a Vegan way of eating for almost 2 years. Before that I was always a fairly clean eater...but my weakness is chips and salsa...:)...Carole

hi lisa and welcome,

i won't go into "diet" details b/c the last time i told somebody my eating habits they gained weight and got rather po'd at me ;). but for generalization i aim for veggies or fruit every meal, protien source(at least 8gr or more)every meal, lots of water, small meals 4times a day,and fit it other carb sources like oatmeal, pasta, etc at 2or3 meals and really watch my portions on those. i eat alot of calories b/c how i workout.

Welcome Lisa! My weakness was coca cola got rid of that I try to eat as healthy as possible. If you do a search through these boards you will find many of these threads (hope you have awhile). Clean eating, moderate to healthy eating, (you get the point). Everyday someone starts a thread what they are eating for the day, great ideas! You might even find some receipes.

Welcome Lisa!

I follow Body for Life and it works great (it sounds similar to what Kassia does on her own - she's so disciplined!).

Michele, if you come and scrub my toilets I'll do your cardio. :)

Susan: I was thinking if Michele would come and put my children to bed I too would do her cardio. My daughters could go to bed at noon and still not be asleep until 10.

Hi Lisa, I just wanted to say welcome! I eat lots of fruits and vegetables and lean protein, no bread, pasta or white rice. BUT my biggest downfall are chocolate, chocolate chip cookies and snickers bars! Fortunately I've been staying away, but they're hard for me to say no to! :)

Hi and welcome Lisa,

I'm pretty new here too. I'm on Weight Watchers, and my eating, like my body, is a work in progress. :) (52 lbs down, 48 lbs to go!) Fruits, vegetables, lean proteins. Whole grain breads and pastas. No sodas (occasional diet soft drinks at the movies), no fruit juices, but I love coffee. In fact, since I bought a Keurig, I have several cups a day so I'm trying to mix in decaf here and there. Nonfat, artificially sweetened yogurt, cheese (reduced fat cheddar and feta, but for strong flavored cheeses like parmesan reggiano, romano, fontina, etc. I use the regular because it only takes a small amount to impart big flavor).

As you've probably guessed I'm a bit of a foodie, and I can go on and on when it comes to this topic so I'm stopping myself. :)

Again, welcome -- and when everyone tells you Cathe's workouts are addictive, they aren't exaggerating!! :D

Welcome Lisa!!!

I eat whatever I can... :p Tonight we're having pizza!!! I just mainly try and buy lots of veggies, some fruits, and if I buy something already made, I try and make sure I can pronounce all the ingredients. I gave up diet sodas in December and now drink tea and water. I don't miss sodas in the least, strangely enough.

We're all a work in progress, and it's absolutely wonderful. Thanks for introducing yourself!! :)

Thanks, you guys for the welcome!! I am reading Eat to Live and starting to eat according to his plan. I have been vegetarian for about 7 months now. I think my main problem is going to be getting enough protein on the Eat to Live plan! Are any of you following this plan now?

I started with the ETL plan in May 2004. I do follow a Vegan diet and there are some more Vegan's on this forum that will always help with any questions you might have. I feel I get plenty of protein and my fav sources besides veggies and beans are tofu, seitan, and tempeh. I also have a favorite cookbook "The Vegan Planet" by Robin Robertson...:)...Carole

I eat what I want and don't feel guilty about it. I just make sure I consume lots of fiber, drink plenty of water, and avoid excess sodium. I do have a weakness for desserts so I cut out soda (unless it's Saranac or Olde Saratoga rootbeer on rare occasion) and sweaten my tea with a dab o' splenda to cut out the sugar I can live without.

Welcome Lisa! Glad you're here and that you're working out with Cathe too!

I've had great results by working out with Cathe, eating clean which for me is good carbs, high protein, no sugar. (well a little of course) Nothing too complicated and it works well for me.

Look forward to talking to you on the board!

Welcome Lisa!:) Have fun expanding your Cathe library, she is the BEST!

I am committed to fitness and workout almost daily, I love to cook and cleaned my diet up years ago, as good as I am I know that there is lots of room for improvement. When I am disciplined with my eating I feel better all around but unfortunately I am like the little girl with the little curl right in the middle of her forehead,...when I am good I am very, very good but when I am bad, I am horrid:eek: :)

Take Care
Laurie:)

Welcome Lisa!!! The boards are a lot of fun!! I follow a zigzag diet, also know as staggering. I have three deficit days followed by one high calorie day and I track it all on fitday.com. I have treats too (too many sometimes!!).

I'm sure you'll be adding more and more to your Cathe collection. Cathe's w/o's are the best and you just want them all!! Join the ranks of the "Cathe poor"....:p :+

Looking forward to getting to know you.
