OK - I don't want to discuss my sheer laziness in proper workouts over the last few months. I've been trying to get my groove now that I'm a single mom and taking care of my house all by myself. Just gotta say - I LOVE BEING SINGLE AND TAKING CARE OF MY HOUSE ALL BY MYSELF!!!!! I got me a chainsaw (electric, rechargeable - clutz proof of course), love love LOVE mowing the lawn and burning branches, and have even fixed the tractor a couple times myself. The male neighbors are sniffing around a little more than I'd like, and I'm sure WAY more than their wives like. ha ha. But I've been seeing a very nice young man who is a 3rd degree black belt in TKD, so he's got my back if any of those boys get outta line.
I've painted my bedroom and gotten all new bedroom furniture. It looks like a girl's room now and it's awesome. I even have a teddy bear sitting on the pillows. I had a couple months with some insomnia and it miraculously went away when the bedroom was transformed. Cool, huh? That was my NP's suggestion because she was convinced the insomnia was stress induced.
So I have been exercising regularly - TKD several times a week, plus yard work. But that's just not enough to keep the body looking its best. I bought myself an excellent new pair of Ryka for my birthday and have started working on my bottom again. Doing lower body workouts twice a week and have been doing Kick Max. Do you think there are any other cardios that are especially good for a squishy tushy? I pre-ordered STS too - my checking account will NOT be happy! I'm calling that my Christmas present to myself.
All is well with the separation - in case you were wondering. My ex and I are on friendly terms and my daughter is well adjusted. She spends nearly equal time with each of us. My ex is learning how to take care of himself, which is something he should have done 15 years ago.
