Hi, ladies!
Just got back from Florida LATE last night/this morning and couldn't wait to see what I missed on the Cathe forums! I missed talking to everyone and I feel like I have so much to catch up on! (The Illinois get-together sounds like a BLAST!) I took today off to take the kids to the county fair but then it's back to work tomorrow.... :-(
The day before we left a microburst/mini tornado hit our neighborhood and scores of homes and cars were damaged by fallen trees. Luckily, we were spared. We were out of power for about 10 hours but I didn't prevent us from making it to the airport on time Thursday.
We took the kids to DW and it was HOTHOTHOT but apparently not as hot as the Midwest this weekend. When we landed last night it was rainy and 66 degrees! WHASSUPWIDAT??? I think a few of us are already getting the sniffles! We were on the go from morning till night and managed to squeeze in MGM Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest, and Downtown Disney and even Sea World on Tuesday where we got a pretty decent view of the Discovery launch! VERY cool! Shelley - I'm like you - I had lovely vacations but I'm staying put now and looking forward to sleeping in my own little bed!
I took some Cathe DVD's and a band and a jump rope with me but OF COURSE never used them. Didn't eat very well (let's not talk about the bucket of ice cream at the water park) but at least I stayed true to vegetarianism! (aren't you proud, Roomies????!!!)
It's a beautiful day here today - "only" supposed to get to 80 degrees so I'm out to enjoy it as much as possible. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
