I'm new and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a mother of two, trying to get back in shape. Before the birth of my son, I worked out religiously, with either Cathe's video's or running. Well, it's been 11 years since then and I'm about 25 lbs. overweight and am in horrible shape. I was so excited to find Cathe's website, have dusted off the old Step in Motion videos and started today. I also ordered several new DVD's today. There's nothing like a new workout to keep you motivated. I've worked out off and on through the years, but can't seem to stick with it. I'm hoping some of the enthusiasm I've seen on this board will wear off on me.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.:)

Welcome to this board! We're great motivators! The enthusiasm around here can be contagious! Cathe got me into shape following the birth of my two kids, and if you stick to her you should see results in no time. Looking forward to your posts!

Welcome back to Cathe. You are going to love those new workouts. Cathe has all kinds of ways to get in shape, from step, circuit training, endurance, weight lifting, kickboxing...and unlimited ways to put them together in rotations. You are going to have a blast! On line here, there is a list of all kinds of rotations to go with your workouts. There is a wealth of information here not to mention the archives when you use the search engine. Just think of your goals and you will find what you need right here.
Cathe and crew are great motivators, and this website is awesome with so many many people who are talented in their own right...aeobic instructors, nurses, marathon runners, knowledgeable people ...Cathe always called those who did her workouts "the educated crowd". It was true when she said it on video, it is true today.
Ask a question here on board and you will receive your answer(s), more often than not, from those who have experienced the same thing.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! My tapes are on their way and if I was not going to be gone all day, I'd be tracking their progress to my home. :) Well, after one day of working out, you can imagine how sore I am, but it sure does feel good.

Hey Lee Anne: Welcome back to Cathe, boy oh...as good as she was then Cathe has come alooong way in the past 10+ years (haven't we all;)). Your children are well on their way and now it's your turn to focus a bit more on yourself again! You are going to love your new DVD's, we'll do all we can to keep you excited and motivated, let us know how you're doing!!

Welcome back, Kotter! It's great to see you're getting your second wind. When I was on my workout hiatus, I always used to tell myself that it's not that hard to get back into shape, so I'd start again someday. Then it came to my husband's 20 year HS reunion and I couldn't zip up the dress I had planned to wear. Realizing I had only a year until my OWN 20 year reunion, I started working out again the next day (OK - 2 days later. I had a hangover the day after the reunion).

There's no time like the present to make your life better. You're going to love the new workouts.

I probably ordered too many. LOL I got Body Blast 2 and 3, Intensity Series 1 and 2, Cardio Hits and Ab Hits. I'm sure it will take me months to learn these, but that's part of the fun. Which one should I try first? I may order her new ones a little later this month, too. I just checked the tracking and they are less than 5 hrs. away from my house.:) Yahoo!

Good for you Lee Anne for jumping "back on the wagon". It is nice to meet you and you're more than welcome to join some of us on our daily workout thread. It has been great motivation and everyone there is so supportive and motivating.
