RE: Hey, Naughtoj!
I used my weighted gloves for upper body training only; I have adjustable ankle weights (All-Pros that are adjustable up to 10 lbs each) for single-joint leg work.
In fact, I also have PlateMates, and I just love them! As I've mentioned before, I like to increase weightloads incrementally, and slapping the PlateMates on whatever hex dumbbells I'm using kicks things up but good, THEN when that gets easy I start wearing the weight gloves for an additional 1 lb, and then when I get comfortable with that I can go on to the next heavier dumbbell weight load and start all over again.
I use 20-lb dumbbells and 1-lb weight gloves for my pec flyes, 15-lb dumbbells plus PlateMates plus weight gloves (for a total of 18.5 lbs each hand) for supine triceps extensions, supine long-arm back presses, standing bentover back presses, posterior, middle, and anterior delt long-arm raises, overhead presses in various hand positions, and all biceps work. I use a 30-lb dumbbell plus weight gloves for my one-arm bentover rows with arm abducted, and a 25-lb dumbbell for one-arm bentover rows with arm adducted. I also use the weight gloves for barbell triceps extentions (40-lb barbell).
I dunno. I never have a set plan or "rotation" with specific strengthening goals (at least in terms of timetables) in mind; I just do it until it feels easy and then up the weightload with the gizmos. I do plan on getting those 2-lb gloves; I found the website! Thanks again!
