I know you've mentioned that you used the bands for P90X and was wondering what bands or "set" do you use? I just got my DVDs today and am really sorry that I didn't go ahead and order the bands at the same time...

Since I already had some lighter bands, in case I wanted to use them for other exercises (which I haven't yet), I just got bands to do pull-downs. I got the "Men's Extreme" set. I am now on the black band (which is the heaviest available). I now have a Power Tower, but I still like to use the bands because I can get some reasonable-sounding reps out of them (20-24 instead of a measly 10 assisted pull-ups on the tower!).

I go back-and-forth between feeling really "macha" and feeling like a wimp. This week, I haven't been "bringing it" to my P90X rotation (TTOM, fatigue, I have many excuses) so I'm in a "I'm a wimp" mood. Though it is quite a shock to be able to lift pretty heavy dumbbells for lat rows, and then not be able to do even ONE unassisted pull-up!

I did feel better, though, when I read in the "Men's Health Book of Muscle" that 70 percent of MALE health club members couldn't even do 1 pull-up.
