Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,
Homeschool Legal Defense Staff Attorney Scott Somerville, accompanied by his eldest
daughter, Christy, will be appearing tomorrow, Friday, May 16, on
DaySide with Linda Vester. This new show from the Fox News Channel
discusses issues in a talk-show format and airs at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Friday's subject will be the growth of homeschooling and why so many
parents are turning to this method of education. Scott Somerville
will inform viewers about the motivations of homeschool families and
present the effective results of homeschooling. Homeschooled from
kindergarten through grade 12, Christy Somerville will also be in the
studio and may get an opportunity to share her perspective as a
homeschool graduate and college freshman. Please pray for Scott and
Christy as they travel to New York for this opportunity.
Over the 10 years Scott Somerville has been an attorney with Home
School Legal Defense Association, he has handled hundreds of legal
contacts on behalf of homeschooling families across the United
States. Scott and his wife, Marcia, home educated their three oldest
