Hey Donna! / Getnfit@39!

Is it my imagination or is being bald or buzzed seriously, seriously cool?

I've gotten so used to this look, and have come to cherish it so much, that I'd decided to keep it buzzed or shaved down to the scalp even after my hair grows back. (And, btw, I am starting to see some "hair spots", coming back in the same goofy way that they went out.) The look is so clean, I try to picture myself with scalp hair now and I see a big dark sheepdog!

Sounds from previous posts that you are enjoying your new look too. I want to thank you again for doing that as a gesture of support to me lo those many months ago. It truly helped me to cope with alopecia, and get right with my attitude.

Thanks again, Fella Buzz-Head! (I bet you look totally hot!)

Hey AJ! :)

No, it is not your imagination, this is soooo much cooler! And might I add, exercise friendly! I can go straight from a workout, jump in the shower, jump out and in to clothes and out the door in no time now! No more drying my hair, curling my hair, and shampoo time is cut down considerably as well! :)

I LOVE it! Love it! My mother of course hates it! So the demon rebel in me loves it even more for just that element!}(

But no need to thank me, I have a dear friend who's daughter has leukemia and lost her hair at just 8 years old, and she cried and begged him for a wig so the kids at school wouldn't tease her, and my buddy "Bleeck" is one of those "stand up and face them!" sort of guys so it bothered him that his little girl gave in to "peer pressure." But as I explained to him how at her age, "fitting in" was really an important thing, and yes, he'd like her to wear her bald head proudly to show she was from "sturdy stock," the reality is for women and even little girls, it's hard to be different sometimes. So she got her wig, but I've always kept in my mind how difficult that must have been for her at such a young age, and when I could "see" you weren't quite thrilled with yours and considered shaving your head, the only way I could think of to show you any moral support was to join you! Maybe somehow knowing that someone you knew somewhere else on the planet was "sporting her head" too might give you some comfort.;)

BTW, I just took it all the way back down last week and yesterday, don't ask me why, I colored it "lightest blonde!" Not quite sure what I think of it yet, but it's there! And did you know that the directions for hair color just assume you actually have "hair?" I kept wondering, what if you're basically scalp with a fuzz covering? it didn't say don't? So I did! And really, how much damage could I do? Not like I had hair that could break off and go down the drain anyway! bbbwwwwaaahhhhhaaaaaa! :7

And yes! I do think I look pretty hot! Especially when I sport all my earrings! 5 holes on one side, 6 on the other! Not bad for a broad pushing 40!;)
