Cathlete
Good morning,

I am up bright and early on my way to go teach my bootcamp and treading class. For the treading class it will be one big hill today and that will be my workout for today! had a blast about muy thai again yesterday...;o). when i was leaving two of the men in the class said they wished their wives would come and workout with them.

shelly- you were definitely right about ABA! i am sitting in with my mouth hanging out at your workout yesterday, go ahead with your bad self, lol.

wendy- so what did you think about that B&G premix? any leg doms today}( . i just got about 4 new workout dvds. itrain is taking too long with the rest of the july workouts, lol.

have a great day to all in cheetahville:)

Good morning, cheetahs :) :) :)

Sunny :: one big hell, eh? Sounds like those folks are in for a whuppin’ this morning. :)

Shelly :: My favorite yoga instructor? That would have to be Michelle, one of the instructors at the studio I was going to locally. :) I wish *she* would make a video (minus the gongs). But as far as DVDs go, I’d have to go with Rodney. There’s no one instructor, though, that I feel strongly about. I'm still on a quest. Who’s yours?…I gotta say, I love *all* types of getaways…Cruising, exploring new cities, skiing, relaxing beach hangs – but none really more than any other. They’re all good, to me.

Wendy :: Sorry the rain cancelled your run…looks like this whole week is gonna be a wet one…Mmm, Cheesecake Factory…did you have a piece of cheesecake?…My absolute favorite is the pumpkin cheesecake…Thank God it’s seasonal…Glad you had a great time w/ your friend.

I am feeling better this morning…throat’s a little raw from upchucking, but that migraine is history, so it’ll be GS Legs Timesaver + a run. Yoga wasn’t possible for obvious reasons, but I will try to make up for it during the week.

Have a great day, cheetah babes! :D

Morning Folks!

Sunny: I don't feel any DOMS yet but that doesn't mean it's not still on it's way!}( The premix was good. She doubles up on alot of the floorwork so it's EXTRA painful! I hadn't done that ab routine in quite some time. I was burnin' good! ;) Have fun teaching your classes this morning. I checked the tracking on my P/T exam and they received it about a week ago. It took FOREVER to get there! I was getting nervous that it wasn't going to make it!

Cathy: OFCOURSE we had Cheesecake! Don't be silly!:p We split 2 appetizers for our meal and then headed straight for dessert! LOL I had Adams Peanut Butter Cup something or the other...OMG-DELISH!:9 :9 :9 Sorry you were feeling so lousy yesterday. You apparently are okay this morning though so that's good. Hope your throat stops buggin' you soon though.

I have yoga on tap at nap time and my rescheduled run tonight. I'm looking forward to both.

BBL!

Hey Cheetahs! I finally got out for a run this morning! We ran 3.5 miles, then power walked for .75 mile. It was a beautiful, almost chilly morning! We also went for a 14 mile bike ride last night which was nice. I was pleased again doing GS BSB at being able to up my weights a lot since the X. I even did the shoulder presses w/ 20 lb db's where before I was struggling w/ 15's. Yeah for progress!

I'm still getting over this cold which I think has turned into a sinus infection. I was really feeling it towards the end of the run.

I think Hannah has the cold now, but she was running a temp last night so I might take her in to the Dr. if she isn't feeling better this morning. She said her throat was really sore too. Kiersten had to pipe up & say that she was happy for once not to be the sick one! ;-) Those tubes have helped her a LOT!

We're planning to bike again tonight. Greg took the girls fishing last night while we were biking, they had fun. Kiersten even caught a fish on her own!

Sunny ~ Bootcamp sounds like fun. It sounds like you're enjoying your teaching & keeping up w/ some great workouts!

Cathy ~ Sorry about the migraine. I know how terrible that can be. Hope you don't have that *migraine hangover* feeling today, I always hate that too.

Wendy ~ That B & G premix is a goodie, doing the floorwork twice you really feel that burn!! Cheesecake Factory... drool... sounds divine! I've only eaten there once and had a slice of dark choc. cheesecake... my favorite!

Good morning cheetahs! Yesterday I ran about 2.5 miles. I really should have ran farther, but I just didn't have it in me. I'm still exhausted from our weekend in Indy. It was great to see 2 of my DB and their family. I don't get a chance to see them but maybe twice a year. However, these past couple of years I have seen them a little more frequently due to deaths in our family. It is a shame that that is what makes people come together most times.

Anyway, today will be some sort of strength workout, not sure what yet. Yesterday's run made me realize how much I need to improve before I sign up for another HM. I'm definitely running the Derby HM in April next year with 2 of my DBs though. In the meantime I think that I will begin P90X soon, probably next week. I could use the consistent strength work especially since I have been letting that slide for too long. P90X should whip my bootie into shape. I plan to take photos and measurements. It won't be pretty especially since I have about 20 pounds I need to lose. At least the weight loss will help with my running, which I plan to do in place of P90X cardio.

Sorry, this is post is so one-sided. I haven't been able to read up on everyone yet and work is overworking me lately. I also plan to be on vacation on Thursday and Friday so that doesn't help. I'll try to be back later today.

Have a great day cheetahs! Waves to all!!

Hey Kristi! Glad you popped in! Sounds like you're keeping busy!

I'm starting the X again on August 20th. I was really pleased w/ my results from my first round, I plan on bringin' it even harder this round. It will definitely whip you into shape! Definitely take your before shots & measurements so you can really see your results! I didn't lose any weight, but lost over 10", so I'm glad I had measurements to show the real story! Good luck!

Good morning gals:

I am SOOOOO PUMPED, I got up at 5am and did IMAX1 !!! I was so excited when I was done :p I proved to myself that I can get up that early and do a good-hard-intense workout. I kept telling myself that I was too tired in the morning or my body just wasn't made to move so early ;-) , but I proved myself wrong this morning and I'm just psyched about it! (can you tell :) ).

Sunny - What does a typical Bootcamp class consist of that you teach? I am starting up teaching again in September and thought about putting together a Bootcamp type class and would love some ideas to get me started.

Jess - The "X" again, you go girl!

Cathy - I'm glad your headache is gone and you are starting to feel better. This rotation we are doing together has really motivated me. I never would've thought to do IMAX1 if it weren't for having a buddy doing it with me. ;-) THANKS!

I hope everyone has a great day and I'll be back later.
Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...so sorry about the migraine yesterday...:(...my mouth has been doing well. I did get the drain out yesterday that they put in for the infection, so that made my gums a bit sensitive which honestly scared me a bit to have things hurt again. But it feels fine this morning. If you have any questions about the GetSmile program feel free to email me...:)...Have fun with GS TS and a run.

Sunny...enjoy your classes today. It sounds like you are having a great time.

Wendy...I wish we could have some of your rain. Yoga and a run sounds like fun.

Kristi...good job with the 2.5 miles. Sometimes we just don't have it in us. Especially after weekends out of town.

Jess...good job on the run and power walk.

Shelly...sorry about the PC issues. Those things drive me batty! Good job with the 13 miler yesterday. The run sunday felt good but yesterday when I ran I could feel my tooth a bit so I backed way off and just went 3 miles.

Jackie...wow! that running course for the 5K looks awesome! Was the whole course like that?...great time and great pics, you look like a strong cheetah!! Thank you for sharing. I think I tried the swedish massage once, but went right back to the deep tissue as that seems to help the best for me. Is that a new Gilad workout?

Susan...hope you had a nice day with your girls.

Gayle..good job with BM2, that has a high fun factor.

Today my DH turns 50!!!!...WOW....there will be a party this Sat. Tonight we might just go out for a nice dinner.

I am doing Amy's APX leg workout and 40 min on mt EXT. I was happy to get some 6 and 7# dumbbells for some of the endurance workouts as I just hate on some exercises going from 5 to 8!

Have a great day...:)

Wendy :: I haven't tried that one...believe it or not, I have eaten there and NOT ordered the cheesecake a few times. See--I *do* have willpower now and again. *lol*

Jess :: sorry about the sinus infection...great job upping the weights! 20# on shoulder work is awesome!...that's a good term for it: "migraine hangover." That is really what it feels like -- but it's SO much better than the migraine itself that I'm not complaining! :D

Kristi :: glad you enjoyed your weekend w/ family. Enjoy your upcoming days off.

GS Legs (Timesaver #1) is done (love the calf work on that one!) followed by a 3-mile run. My legs felt FRIED by the time I hit the last big hill. A good stretch is in order...

BBL!

Oops, a coupla posts snuck in there on me.

Marcia :: GREAT job with Imax...I'm a morning person, but even so, it is *NOT* easy to do a hardcore workout in the wee hours. I like to read the paper, drink my tea, check email/forums and take my time waking up before I do anything. It's kinda my ritual. But we can always teach ourselves new habits. I never was able to work out in the evening before, but during the school year, it's what I have to do and I've adapted to it...Agreed ~ it's great having a partner! :D

Carole :: sorry to hear about the pain...it does sound like the whole mouth would be tender from that...Where did you find the odd dumbbells?...Happy 50th to DH!!!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Susan - Glad to hear your workouts are going well.

Gayle - Wow!! 9 boys in the house at once. Glad you enjoy having them around.

Cathy - I've had some of those naps. Makes you wish you hadn't taken one. UGH! Thank you for blowing my head up. You make an older young woman feel great! :) Sorry for the migraine. Glad you're feeling better this morning.

Shelly - Hope the computer problems are fixed. Great job on the 13 miles! Then, you did some cycling. My hero! DBF challenged me to beat my goal at the last 5K. So, I guess I was determined. :) Showed him! I like Hal's training schedule. I'm not doing 7 and 8 miles in the middle of the week.

Wendy - Sorry your run was cancelled. Hope you get it in tonight. You can definitely have Joey on the side. Love Cheesecake Factory. It's a good thing I don't have one close by.

Sunny - Glad you enjoyed your class last night. So, what is your favorite move to have your clients do? Have a good treading class.

Kristi - Glad you listened to your body and didn't push yourself. Your workout plans sound good.

Jess - Sounds like you had an awesome run today. I'm glad you can see the progress in lifting heavier weights. Hope Hannah feels better.

Carole - Glad the mouth is coming along fine. The first .5 mile of my 5K started on the street and then it turned and went into the park. Right beside the 5K course is a trail. It's so nice and shady and cool. If I lived there, I could see myself running at this park quite often. Cuts & Curves is one of Gilad's newest ones. Happy Birthday to DH! Enjoy your workout! And, just where did you find 6 & 7 pound dumbbells?

I did an easy 3 mile run and 1/2 of iStretch #12. Grace didn't move as fast through the yoga moves in this one. I enjoyed it much better. I'm kinda going easy on myself this week. But, I'll probably still do a long run on Saturday.

Enjoy your day!

Jackie

Good morning! Hope all the fantastic cheetahs are starting off the day well. More rain here this morning.... YAY! It's back to work for me tonight with a long stretch.... sigh. I did get in some cycling last night so with my long run I was quite pooped and slept like a rock.

Jackie- good idea to take it easy this week. You really outdid yourself on the last race! Nothing like a little "challenge" to motivate you.

Cathy- Boy you started out the day rough! Migraines are so awfully debilitating when they occur, glad it's behind you and you are obviously primed for a great workout today! I'm afraid I'm not into yoga (Shades of the pina colada song!) and I still have to force myself to do it now and then. The instructor I tolerate the best at this time is Baron Baptiste.

Wendy- Yoga before a nap? hmmmmm that sounds good! Maybe I'll take your cue and try a little today right before I turn in for the afternoon snooze before work. Glad the rain subsided for your run today... have fun!

Kristi- don't get too rattled by your run yesterday. We all have days like that. I bet next week you'll feel recharged and running strong again. A p90x rotation sounds like a great idea for you now.

Jess- Sounds like you got in a great run! Awesome job with GS BSB!
20lb DBs for shoulder presses

Marcia- Great job on your early morning IMAX workout!!! It can be hard to get your body moving out of bed but once you start it all is worth it, especially the wonderful feeling of accomplishment when you're done.... congrats!!

Carole- Happy Bday to your DH!!! The big 50! I was surprised when I turned 50 earlier this year.... not near the earthshattering experience I expected. Life goes on whether we're 49 or 50;-)
Anyway, it's a great excuse to have a PARTY :+ Thanks for the link on the odd size DBs, they can be hard to find!

Sunny- Busy as ever!!! A Bootcamp AND Treading class! I'm curious about the Treading Class. Are you on a treadmill as well? I thought the instructors stood by the side and monitored everyone.

Today will be HSTA, haven't done that gem in a while. And then a fun step workout... I'm thinking RS.:7

Later!

Good morning ladies,
I am off to the movies with my girls this morning, but thought I would check in real quick:) I am going to give BM2 a go this afternoon. I have not done it in awhile and am hoping the ITB cooperates. I will then do PUB upper later. I hope everyone has a great day and great workouts!

Cheers!

Susan

What's the movie Susan! Give us a review when you get back:) Have fun with BM2!!! Crossing my fingers that the ITB will work for ya!

>Wendy- Yoga before a nap? hmmmmm that sounds good! Maybe
>I'll take your cue and try a little today right before I turn
>in for the afternoon snooze before work. Glad the rain
>subsided for your run today... have fun!

Shelly: I actually meant I was going to do yoga during DS' nap time!:7 :7 :7 But now that ya mention it, a nap sounds pretty darned good. I think I'll nap BEFORE doing yoga though!:p

Carole :: thanks for the link…it’d be nice to be able to find them in-store.

Jackie :: glad you’re enjoying a bit of a lighter week.

Shelly :: I can see why you might not be into yoga – you seem to have a preference for high-energy workouts. Lots of them. Back-to-back. *lol* I can just picture you in my class with the gongs going full blast.

Susan :: hope you enjoyed the movie with the girls.

Sunny :: woohoo on the Garmin!!! *happy dance time* Have fun w/ your new toy!!

I napped again this afternoon – another rather long one – not sure why as I have been getting enough sleep, but oh well…guess it was needed. Just did ME abs - I think that's gotta be one of my favorites. Oh, and I purchased You on a Diet today. Anybody read it?

Have a great night!

*Waves hello to everyone* Miss you ladies!!!

Did a Spinervals Special today. I'm doing a modified version of the August '05 BootCamp rotation. Tomorrow is HSTA plus the leg sculpting drills from KM. Hope I can walk on Thursday! Shelly - you're right HSTA is a fun one.
