Just wanted to let you know that I did LL today (was on my rotation) but the whole time was thinking of the LB Blast premix on Supersets you said you liked and decided to tack it on. Ooooh my goodness! What a great premix. I had to do that thrid set of one-legged lunges with NO handheld weights. The quads were screaming bigtime. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for the heads-up on the premix. I am back into trying to whip my legs back into shape after an 11-month injury and this premix is gonna get 'em bigtime. THANKS! (I think! :))

Not to jump in on Beverly....well kinda... but LB SS plus LB PP (same DVD) is great together also. Saturday is my leg day, I'll try what you two are doing sounds nice a painful! hahaha

You are right...PAIN is a great description! ;-) I'm not sure Beverly is as nuts as I am to tack these two together, but with a week and a half left to a certain rotation I am doing, I didn't want to wait sooo I thought, "Hey, GO 4 IT!" I'll have to give your idea a try too. Hmmm, wonder which workout to tack it onto??? You guys are gonna have me in a real world of pain! Ha! Have FUN and let me know what you think after Saturday Susan.

Glad you liked the Superset Lower Body Blast Debbie. The one legged squats are what I love (hate)... ;-) Are you sore????

Hey beverly. I saw how your daughter looks pretty fit too. How old is she? I have a 13YO & while she is not lazy, she doesn't have the slightest inclination to try any one of my workouts. She gets that from her dad. She appease me by taking a mandated gym class but that's about it. Any tips.

P.S. girls her age are really vulnerable to eating disorders or body dysmorphia, so I try to follow by example instead of nagging. I just really care about her physical fitness. She doesn't even walk to school (I don't think its safe, nowadays).

Any tips? TIA.

Yes, I am very sore this AM! Looked like a lil' ole lady getting out of bed this morn! I also have a love/hate relationship with those one-legged squats but am LOVING being able to do them now. Yeeeeah! Thanks again for the idea.

Hi Kath! Go to the "Premixes" on your SuperSet DVD. Then, scroll down to the LB BLast. It takes all the LB work from the SS DVD and repeats it THREE times. I added that onto LL! Whew! I agree that LL is tough by itself but couldn't contain myself. ;-) If you are looking to do "punishment" tomorrow, I think this will fit the bill. Let me know if you survive it! :7

Hi Deb! I am stalling big time -- I need to hustle my fanny upstairs (and am dressed for it) to do the LL/SS-LB combo you suggested. I promise to post if I can walk tomorrow. And my tush is so out of shape I know I'll just be seriously sore. What weights did you use on your barbell for LL, just out of curiosity?? (Let me see just HOW far behind my behind is. ;-))

Y'all still have snow up there?? Don't hate me, but it's almost 60 degrees and beautiful here. }(

I have done today the lower blast premix of the SS dvd and Hoow I have lived a lower body experience. those squats(I use light weight )16 squats and 2 sets of 8 reps of low ends and then 2 sets of 3 rep low ends are a fryer. I had to stop during the 1 legged lunges: 1 foot is on a 10 inch step and theworking leg is in front. My legs were shaking. I have a new lower body workout in my routine. You are tooo funny! So glad you "lived" thru the experience! :7 It is definitely a fryer. My legs were shaking too not to mention the shaking they did thru LL. You're very welcome. Glad you were able to make it back to the computer without crawling. Happy 2005!

Hope your fanny made it by the time I responded! I'm sorry I am so late in replying. I have lowered my BB to 25#'s since I am coming back from my injury. I used to match Cathe's weights on everything on both of these workouts but easing back in sloooowly. You might want to do the same since you have been AWOL too! ;-) Actually, that weight feels good doing these two workouts back-to-back. Don't think I'd survive the heavier at this point. Regarding our weather: we have been blasted with two major snow storms in the past few weeks (at least a foot of snow) and had very, very cold temps. (-2 with a 20 below chill factor at one point!) But....today is going to be 50*! Yeeeeah! The snow is almost gone from the rain we have had and the pond out back is slowly thawing. No more ice skating on it for anyone! Sooo, thanks for sending us some warmer weather. Sure do appreciate that! I'll be waiting for your update on how you did thru LL/SS!
