Hers M&S 300 workout

Pouring over my Hers M&F mag - I read the article "BEYOND 300". Have any of you ladies ever done one of these workouts? At first I thought, "that's not so bad"..... until I read more closely the exercises.... Not one but two sets of pull-ups...maybe one (& by one I mean O-N-E pull up!) Push-ups, maybe with breaks - time to hit the 100 push up challenge again!
I'd like to give it a try though. Would it still count if I did something other than pull-ups?

I also see they have a HiiT workout. That's looks more doable for me. Has me excited to see Cathe's version!! :D

are these crossfit workouts?
I watched an amazing display on youtube called '13 minute workout' of 3 women doing some intense stuff and I think I linked there because of the "300"

Ugh cross fit. Cross fit is tough. http://www.crossfit.com/. I tried it for about a month and I just couldn't keep up with it. You need a whole lottta discipline to do these workouts not to mention impeccable form. You can tailor the workouts to your level. I do them in a gym because I needed an assisted pull up machine and heavy weights which I don't own. I mean these workouts have you doing hand stand push ups which are just down right CRAZY and these things called muscle up. Here is there library click on the muscle up demo. http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercise.html. My little brother is a San Francisco cop who just swears by these workouts and he is training for the cross fit games which is even MORE crazy. I don't know the jury is still out there for me with regards to cross fit. Gayle and Lioness do these they are way tougher than me. :)

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this! I was at the store and grabbed the magazine and read the workout. Wow! Men's Fitness published the 300 workout that was supposed inspired by the actors in 300 (they may not have been the first ones, I don't know as I've found that workout many places). This is a slight variation on that one - no less tough, though!

I did this one this morning - with slight variations (like using my pull up bar - and my high step as an assist, and my "box" was my step with 12 inches - no way I could jump to a height of 20" 50 times!). It was tough but doable. I really do love this kind of workout from time to time.
