HI Everyone,
I was away all weekend with my daugther b/c she had a gymnastics competiton and I just wanted to share what happened.
Last year she went and she didn't win anything but she had only been in it a year but I think she had high hopes for herself and thought she was gonna get something.She didn't even get a ribbon (which she would have been happy with).And b/c she didn't win anything she wanted to get out of gymnastics.Obviously she more competitive then her mother.
This year her coach begged her to go and not to drop out so thats what she did.
She again, didn't think she was gonna win anything. I don't know why she is so hard on herself but atleast she had herself prepared for the worst and wasn't gonna be disappointed again.
I knew she had to get something b/c she did better then a couple of the other girls. When it came to giving out awards for the Beam she wasn't even paying attention, she was playing with a green bear.And when it got to the Silver Metalest they said her name and b/c she wasn't really paying attention she didn't know what was on the go....she was so overwhelmed and was sooooo happy. Then it came to the floor routine and she got another silver metal, I thought she was gonna jump out of her skin.Then her team came 2nd over all so she got a 3rd silver metal.
Im so happy for her b/c I think it was enough to keep her in the sport.I didn't want her to drop out but she didn't seem like she was enjoying it anymore.Now when I ask her is she signing up for the summer she looks at me like I have ten heads and sayd "YESSSSS!".
