help

Hello mommys; hoping that everyone is doing fine.

I had a question. i have 14 weeks already and i started exercising againg, but i am a little worry about abs exercise. can i do any abs on the floor?

do you girls do all cathe tapes?, because i have almost all of them.

thank you,

I have read that you should avoid lying on your back. I do all ab work on my ball, making sure to keep my back well supported. A video I have (The Pregnancy Workout - which is pretty good) shows using pillows to support the back. This is probably better because of the balance issues you may run into during pg.

I avoid the really difficult cathe tapes - no imax, mic - and I don't do the interval ones either (high step challenge, cardio & weights, etc) as I read that interval training should be avoided during pg.

Just my 2cents!
best wishes!

As mentioned, avoid ab exercises that have you flat on your back. I did mostly standing ab/kickbox work for the abs since those exercises seemed most comfortable. I also modified some ab work and just didn't go as far back. I always kept my back above the floor.

I was able to do imax 1 since the recovery sections were long but avoided imax 2 and 3. I did most of my other cathes during pregnancy, stepblast, wedding tape, rythymic step , cardio and weights etc. Just listen to your body. If you check out the moms to be check in you will see most of us used our regular tapes modifying when needed. Join the moms to be check in, it is a great check in.

HI!
Listen to shopper. We all do some great workouts during preggy. Intervals and whatever we feel good enough to do. Listening to your body is most important. We all are on our 2nd or third, etc. child and exercise won't hurt a thing unless your doc says you're high risk and you absolutely should stay away from everything. I did situps til 12 weeks and then I just stopped. Your abs get a workout from kickboxing and other stuff. But if you want to cont. follow what shopper said;-)
That's awesome that you have all the tapes, just modify where needed, you'll find they'll make you feel so good during your pregnancy. Gosh I wakeboarded with my first up to 4 months with both my doctor and my FIL's okay (he's an OB/GYN). You can do whatever you did before as long as you don't overexert yourself.
Enjoy!
