Help with first trimester "knock out"

I'm now 6 weeks pregnant and exhausted. Yesterday it felt like I could hardley even sit up at times. Needless to say, I didn't exercise. It is very important for me to exercise this pregnancy because it is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm so worried about what's going to happen to my body if I don't. I was already way out of shape with my 1st, had pushed way way too hard with my 2nd and couldn't exercise past the 20th week. My stomach muscles have been put through the ringer with a c-section that got infected ontop of all of this.

My question is, how do you pace yourself during this trimester when you tend to feel icky? I don't want to over do it but I don't want to use this pregnancy as an "excuse" to not exercise either. Of course there's always the constant fear of losing the baby too.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Alli-
Congratulations on your third. I am 27 weeks into my first and feel overwhelmed w/ the thought of ONE baby at this point!

I really struggled w/ morning sickness that lasted all day for the first 5 months of my pregnancy. Just getting out of bed seemed hard, much less trying to exercise. What I did was take it in baby steps.. I would only say I am going to do 5 minutes. I could usually gear myself up for that.. Then once the 5 minutes was up, you usually could get into it for longer with most of the time finishing a workout. Of course there were some days that it didn't happen at all. And, that is OK.. Your body is trying to tell you something.
If you have been exercising for a while, you know the difference between good pain and bad pain. Your body will let you know.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope it goes well!
