I trained for my first marathon this fall/winter. I only ran 3x a week, but this is what my week looked like. Hope it helps with some ideas.
Sun. long run (up to 20 miles)
Mon. Upper body and abs. Cathe's DVDs are so nice to be able to split the body up. I did no lower body weights while training.
Tue. Spin and abs
Wed. medium run (up to 8 miles)
Thu. Upper body and abs
Fri. short run (up to 5 miles)
Sat. rest and hydrate for Sunday!
Good Luck! Marathon training takes so much mentally, not only physically. What marathon are you shooting for?
