Help Need Inspiration

Help - I need inspiration to get out of bed and do my Cathe videos. It is winter here in Australia and the mornings are cold. Any suggestions?

Pick out the tape you want to do and have it ready to go. Lay out your workout clothes. Set the alarm. Get up when the alarm rings, and allow yourself that first cup of coffe if you need it to wake up.

Then, get thee to your workout room and get started.

Keep in mind that when you do your workouts in the morning, it's over with and nothing can get it in way. It's easier to make it a habit, I think, if you do it first thing.

Just do it! The hardest part is getting started.

Ditto to what Cathe said, with the following additional suggestions:

Pick Cathe workouts that really put the Fire In The Thighs, so that you toast up! My FITT (hey, I like that) Faves are: Circuit Max with heavy barbell/lower body only; a mish-mosh of Interval Max warm-up, Body Max step circuit segment, and CTX Power Circuit segment; AND my beloved Interval Max Pure And Simple.

As Honeybunch said, have everything laid out and ready to go, including tapes/DVD, weights, step, AND clothing before you go to bed, so that you can zoom right into it! And don't forget to hydrate AND caffeinate!

I have to get up at 5:30 am to get my workout in. When that alarm goes off, I'm always tempted to just set it for another hour of sleep. But, I've learned that in that moment I'm contemplating resetting the alarm to make myself think about how good I will feel in an hour after I've completed the workout and how good (and virtuous) I will feel for the rest of the day. Usually, I come to the decision that the hour of workout will make me feel better than the hour of sleep. On the days I do decide to reset the alarm, I give myself a break and figure I probably needed the sleep.

My suggestion is put it on auto-pilot. Heck, at that hour of the morning, who can think straight anyway? Have everything ready and just physically roll yourself out of that warm bed when you hear the alarm. No thinking about it, no hitting the snooze button - on your feet soldier! And don't you feel great the rest of the day?

By the way, a full spectrum light while you're working out and/or eating breakfast, etc. in the morning can help with those dark winter morning blues. I love mine!
