help! need Biceps advice

Cathlete
I have trouble with doing bicep curls with the barbell,
particulary crazy 8's. after 1 set I can't get my arms
up to do any more reps. Im using 20lbs total with and addtl 5lbs
added on for the weight of the bar. I tried to do lower weights
but my arms won't build a thing and it doesn't feel like Im
doing anything (just going through the motion) is what it feels
like. I have muscle there but it's rather hard to get any definitions due to the amt of fat surrounding the muscle.
Anyone have any advice I need to push pass this but can't seem
to do it. even when I use 10lb dumbells it's doing noting for me I am able to all sets with ease and feel no fatique and see no pump in my arms. Suggestions please.
Thanks

When you say you can do "one set", do you mean the full 24 reps (8 low, 8 high, 8 full) or just the first 8 reps? Whichever case it is, I suggest doing the first "set" with the weight you are at now, then quickly dropping down 5# to do the next set, concentrating on form. Eventually, you should be able to go up in pounds for the second "set".

By the way, are you sure your bar only weighs 5#? Most bars are anywhere from 8#-15#. You may be lifting more than you think.

And when you say lifting less doesn't do anything for you, how much less are you talking about? Maybe you need to go down in weight, but not as much as you have in the past.
