Help Muscle Spasums

. Help I slept wrong I think . I had like a kink in my upper back this am .Did my work out anyway thinking it would lossen up a bit. NO now its an hour after my workout and its like spazzing out .I had my kids walk on my back ..no luck What should I do ??? I want to reach for the Ibu's .A stretch maybe . Did the hot shower too !! NO DR here . !!!!!! Any ideas would be great .
 
Try stretching you chest muscles. For a variety of reasons, including poor posture, the way we slump in a chair, etc, the upper back muscles become overly stretched and at the same time, the chest muscles shrink and weaken. A thorough stretch of the chest muscles may very well help your back. You can also try a heat pad and try something like Biofreeze. You can find it here http://store.ithacasports.com/biroon.html.
There's a great book written by a physical therapist that I have and love. It's called "The Core Program: Fifteen Minutes a Day That Can Change Your Life" by Peggy Brill. You might find something in it to help you.
