Help me find a home for this baby!

How could he not? If you MET him you wouldn't be able to resist! All he wants to do is snuggle in your lap. Sooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!

You are KILLING me Laura! Absolutely KILLING me here!!!! Too bad I can't drive up and get him and be back here with him before DH gets home. Then he'd have no choice! HAH! ;):p

it sounds to me like wendy will take him....right wendy???:D just practice the speech that goes along with showing your DH the picture...

I'm sorry Laura. I showed DH the pic and while he admitted the dog was ADORABLE, there was no budging on the decision.

Gayle??? :)

I realize this doesn't help you, because I live in Texas, but if he needs a home, I would take him. I hope you find a wonderful home for him.

Laura, do they think he's full grown? How would you describe his personality and is he neutered?

We have 4 little kids, plus a cat and a doxie. We love all kinds of critters and have enough space, but I'll have to talk to DH. The doxie is really high maintenance, so he's not feeling too happy about being a pet owner, but this one is such a cutie and the kids want a puppy... Do you think he could handle our crowd, or would it be too much?

I hope Laura sees Gracenote's post! I sooo want this little guy to find a good home!

me too! My kids happened to see the pic when I was showing my SO the other night and they fell in love with him. I'm having a hard time. I honestly am.

BUMPITY BUMP for Laura to see Grace's post!

Grace, he's full grown. I'd say he's 3 YO maximum, he might be a bit younger. I don't know if he's neutered. He is SO well behaved--I mentioned before he's housebroken & he knows "sit." I haven't had enough time w/him to find out what other commands he knows. I think he'd be fine w/your brood--he was passed from person to person in town hall when he was first found, he was overwhelmed w/attention, then he went home w/my coworker & her 2 large dogs, he seemed to take everything in stride. He's been through so much the last few weeks, I really hope he finds his forever home soon! Like with YOU Grace! ;)

Thanks! DH is out of town for a few days but I briefly talked to him late last night (before I read your post, above). He's on the 'no' side, but to be fair, it's because our cat (Mr. B) is really a problem for us right now...he's about 17 years old and, among other symptoms, has been getting more 'accident prone' if you KWIM. Lots of clean up and preventative maintenance on our part. I think he's not himself but have been putting off taking him to the vet because I really don't think there's much to be done.

<sigh> It's such a hard thing. If I agreed to have the cat taken in (with no expectation of him coming home, if you get my drift) I think I could sway DH. My gut feeling is that Mr. B won't be with us to the end of the year, as it is. I'm just having a hard time letting go.

Back to the little guy of this topic, though - how long will the shelter keep him? I'm really sad thinking about him there all by himself, especially if he did have a good home before...

Awwww. Poor Mr. B. I know of what you speak, I had a 90 lb mutt losing control toward the end, quite a mess & so awful for the animal. I'm so sorry you have to go through this Grace. :(

It's a no-kill shelter so they'll keep him forever. I just worry about him there b/c it's so poorly run, & last I heard the girl who found him wanted to adopt him. I'm concerned about this b/c she's a college student (even though I got Cosmo my first year of college, not all college kids are very responsible if ya know what I mean ;)). We're pretty sure the little dude's last owner was a college kid who decided the cutie was cramping his/her party schedule.

I think he'll be adopted very quickly. The problem is by whom. I want to pick his new home myself dammit!

Laura - DH said....YES!!!!! We had a few chats long distance and I pulled out all the stops and he finally agreed. I hope you can still get the little guy!!!

I'm going to make another post with your name as the topic, hoping you see it sooner!!

WAHOO!!!

Oh yay Grace! I too hope the lil' cutie is available for you to take home. That's soooo awesome that your DH caved!:)
