Help-Gowear fit users

You enablers out there "forced " me to buy the go wear fit system. I got it today from amazon and wanted to play with my new toy. I downloaded java and followed all gowear's instructions but it says it can't find program. The customer service is gone for the day. When I used the online customer service they just sent me to the link on how to get started. If anyone else had problems and got them fixed could you please help. I can't wait until tomorrow.

Please give me even obvious simple solutions, I don't know what I'm doing.

Are you using Firefox?
I couldn't get my BodyBugg to download with Firefox.

Try updating your Java and use Internet Explorer.
That's all I know.

Did you sign up yet for a plan? Only after I signed up for a monthly plan could I launch the activity manager and get started.

Then even after that, I had to download some kind of Java thing, then it worked.

I should have kept notes on the process ...

I remember I had to buy it, and then sign up for an account, subscribe to the online service (which involved entering my code for three free months for the GoFit, which came in the box on a separate card), then download the software ... then launch the software, initialize it with my personal stats, type in my three day's worth of food to get a baseline there, plug in the GoFit, and there it all was.


It actually only took fifteen minutes or so from start to finish. And now, it's just a matter of launching the activity manager, plugging in the gowearfit, and three clicks to launch the data transfer. But there was one confusing stage initially - I think I spent half of that fifteen minutes at one particular screen trying to figure out what I needed to do next. It seems to me it was at the point when I wanted to actually set up the subscription.

How far have you gotten in the process?

If you are using ie7 or 8, when gowear fit wants to go to your computer to check to see if you have the software installed you should see a pop up box that says do you want to allow this, if not check the top of the page and see if there is a click bar that you can click to allow the website to access your computer.

If you are running ie8 you will need to run in compatability mode.


and... did you go to the gowearfit.com and click on the get started, purchased from somewhere else, and click on the download to download the program??

Thanks everyone I called my ds and got it started but I don't know how.

I had subscribed for the 12 months and downloaded the software and then when it checked for software it said I needed to download java which I did.

I then exited and even restarted computer to make sure java installed.

It kept saying java was not there.

I'm not sure if was any more than pluging in the armband.
