Has anyone ordered anything online(besides ebay) and never receive the product? I placed an order with an online company that I've never ordered from and have yet to get an email about the item being shipped or delay, out of stock etc.... Yes, my debit/credit card was charged immediately after placing the order. It's been 2 weeks and I've left about 3 emails & 1 voice mail to inquire about my order and have had no response!! Their website & voicemail claims they will respond within 24-48 hours.

I usually do a lot of online shopping and never had a bad experience. I looked up this company(after the fact) on Better Business Bureau and there are 179 complaints since they've opened only 2 years ago. Same issues :non-receipt of items, and lack of response to order inquires.

Should I kiss my $109 good-bye? Where can I report them to get a resolution or prevent them from taking people's money? How do companies get away with that!!!

Any advice appreciated....
 
Did you use your debit or credit card? If you used a credit card, you can call your credit card company and tell them you did not receive the item you ordered, explain the situation, and they should be able to refund your money.

Make sure you do not pay for the item on your next statement, contact credit card company, explain situation, you may also have to put it in writing, and dispute the charges. You will get the amount credited to your account.

No, call your bank and tell them you want to dispute the charge. They will have some paperwork for you to fill out, but you should get your money back.
 
Also, be sure to file a BBB report.
And if you think this is someplace any of us might order from, you could post the company's name here to save us the same problem.
 
I had this happen to me before too and it sucks. I bank with a credit union and was able to call them and disupte the charges. When I do this, they put the money back in my account and then go after the seller for the money. It's a great service. Good luck!:7
 
I've heard a lot of horror stories about people who got into trouble using debit cards (Clark Howard calls them "fake credit cards" -- www.clarkhoward.com).

Credit cards offer security in the form of buyer protection that you just can't count on with debit card purchases. Banks SHOULD be on your side, but they often aren't, and they make you jump through hoops to get your money back even when they're the ones who make the mistake! I never use my debit card -- never.
 
There are people who say the same things about credit cards, though. I use my debit card for everything--EXCEPT on line. It's much easier to close a credit card than to close a checking account and all that goes with it.

I've also heard some bad debit card stories. Clark Howard's site is great. I wish I still got his radio show. I refuse to use, or even have, a debit card.

I recently had an online credit card purchase go bad...never got the merchandise after three months of being told it was on backorder. I finally canceled the order, but the company never credited the amount back to my card.

I filed a dispute with my CC company and within a week they credited the full amount back to my account and opened up an investigation. After about 4-6 weeks I got a notice that the matter was closed in my favor.
 
It was a medical/healthcare uniform company online. I was ordering a high end brand name nursing shoe & the site is www.uniformdiscount.com <Stay away>

I will definitely file a complaint through the BBB and that would make me #180 with a complaint against that company.
 
My bank is a credit union as well so I hope they can help me out. I'll give them a call soon if I don't get a response from the online vendor.
 
Thanks for the info! I've always heard it's better to put purchases on a credit card vs. debit especially online. The cc companies would go to bat for you if you do encounter a problem with a purchase. However, just this one time I put it on my debit card.:( With daily expenses like gas, groceries, etc... I usually debit it without any problems.
 
Hi, I also ordered scrubs from this company about 3 months ago and I was charged my credit card and and shiped all the items except one but the shipping form said it was shipped. I had my husband call to complain and they sent them out the next day and I did get the scrubs in the mail 2 days later but my husband said to never order from them again. The guy he spoke to barely spoke english. Im sorry you had to go though this.
