Hello, I'm new to this forum

Hello out there, I've been doing Cathe off and on since the mid-90's but have never been on the forum. I keep ordering all of Cathe's workouts but have been afraid to use them. (I think names like Terminator and Body Blast sound more like torture techniques than workouts) When I used them before, they were fun, but hard! Now I'm sticking my toe in the water and trying them again. I love the Rhythmic Step workout and am currently learning the Step Blast one. Plus I'm doing Musclemax from the Hard Core series, along with the easier workouts. I figure I can just modify until I can work up to what I was doing before. (Ha! I'm 10 years older so we'll see about that!) I've got a whole bookshelf full of Cathe workouts that I haven't tried. But now I'm slowly starting to go through them one by one and so far, it's been fun.:)

Welcome! Don't be afraid to try the videos. They've changed my life for all the best.
You will make great friends here and learn many new things.
Great to have you

Hi and welcome! Sounds like you're getting a great start to me. I love Rhythmic Step and SB is a lot of fun too.

A warm horsie and a cuddly cockatoo? Now THAT'S intriguing:)

hi lee ann, welcome to the boards

rhythmic step is one of my more favorite step workouts. a real fun factor. its true you can modify until you can get used to the workout.i still modify from time to time especially on weight workouts when i have to drop down some weight. really have to swallow the ego there LOL

happy holiday

Welcome Lee Ann... yes, we all think from time to time "surely Cathe is trying to kill me?"}( But she takes you to fitness height you never dreamed you'd achieve. Keep it up, it does get easier, not ever easy though. If it was easy, it wouldn't be Cathe. That's why we love her and keep hounding her for more and more advanced workouts. She has four new ones coming out soon after the new year we hope. Check out the home page for the descriptions. Great price too on the presale. If you get them, you can be in misery with the rest of us when we start doing these new torture techniques!!!

Nice to have you aboard.

Thank you! I've already preordered the new DVD's. (More to add to my bookshelf) So I guess I'll be joining you! I'm off to learn combo #3 on Step Blast...I've figured out combos 1 & 2. I'm looking nervously at those blast chapters....

OK I figured it out. I clicked reply with quote instead of just reply. Sorry, thank you everyone for the welcome.

http://bestsmileys.com/signs13/24.gif[/img] Lee Ann...Cathe is the best. So you think Terminator could be torturous?....nah...try it, you'll like it...}( ..Have fun with the workouts!!...:)...Carole

Welcome! I am also new to this forum, but unlike you I'm also new to Cathe. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her workouts. I never found anything tough enough until her (I did The Firm for a long time). I'm already noticing positive changes in my body and I've only been doing Cathe workouts for maybe a month at the most. You'll do great!

So do you have a cockatoo? We have two African Greys, one Blue Front Amazon and one Blue & Gold Macaw. I have some pictures in my picturetrail album below.

Take care, good luck and have fun!

With an attraction for Cathe and a signature line like that, you are in the right place!

RS & SB take a few times to get the foot work down. That's the way it was meant to be so you don't get bored too quickly. Modifying, is just the ticket to get you to your upper realms. Yes, if you do get a little too winded, don't stop the workout, just keep jogging in place and then pick up where you feel comfortable.

What I do weep about, is that you have "a whole bookshelf full of Cathe workouts" that you haven't even tried. I just can't bear the thought...x( ;-) :)

ETA: Welcome!

Lee Ann,
I'm envious of you having all those workouts you have to look forward to. I have exhausted mine and am wish wish wishing for something new. The first cathe I ever did was powermax and I couldn't make it through the whole thing and felt like a big clutz. Now, I can get through much harder workouts and it's much easier to learn the routine's, just because I'm used to her cueing and moves.
Enjoy!
Heather

Lee Ann - Welcome!
This is a really friendly and helpful forum. Although her newer productions are different from the older ones, Cathe's cueing and form pointers are incredibly helpful. You are right-on about modifying until you can work up to them. Just take your time and keep at it. And of couruse there are many people here with whom you can compare notes and aches with! :)
