Healthy Eating Check in 06/29

Im surprised to see that the thread wasn't started yet.
Yesterday went well.I did have a spoonful of ice cream.We went for a drive yesterday evening and they got ice cream while I sat and watched.But I had to have a taste.
For dessert yesterday I had some jello,1 tbsp of cool whip (light) and a couple pieces of melon.Did the trick.
I just got home from work so I am going to workout in an hour or so.I think it is going to be something from the timesaver dvd,

Hi Lori! I'm surprised you could hold yourself back by just taking a taste of that ice cream! Not me I don't think I would be that disciplined I'd have to eat the whole thing! Ha! Last night I was supposed to have a small steak w/green beans & of course plans went haywire so I just had a meal replacement shake instead. I hope today goes better. These are my meals:

Meal 1: egg white omelet w/1 slice Ezekiel bread w/apricot jam & coffee
Meal 2: chicken/1/4 sweet potato & green tea
Meal 3: turkey meatballs/brown rice/broccoli
Meal 4: mixed green salad w/shrimp
Meal 5: meal replacement shake

I forgot to pack up my FRUIT!!!! Aarrgghh! I'll have to pick something up when I go out at lunchtime. I have got to drink more water too! I've been slacking off in this area (bad girl!) Tonight I'm doing P90X Yoga (oh an hour & a half of it!) I hope I last! I can't eat anything before doing yoga so I'll probably not get to take the shake until after 9 tonight!!! Ugh! Hey Lori....a spoonful is great...lots better than a whole bowl or cone! Your dessert sounds good. For a dessert at night I split with my hubby 2 cups of frozen fruit thawed, a banana, 1/2 cup of vanilla soymilk and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder, all blended...I do believe he thinks it's ice cream...:)...Carole
 
Hi alll,

Starting last Saturday I cut out all processed sugar and white flour products, replaced meat with soy products and in general eat twice as much fruit&veggies than before.

Lost almost 2 (metric) pounds since then.

A colleague gave me some dried apricots. Did enjoy four of those.

Hello

Today went very well. I had a endoscopy so I didn't eat much. I go on vacation tomorrow so we'll see how long I can be good. I plan on taking one day at a time. No pressure :7

I think I need to remind myself one day at a time!

Last night, I was really hungry and ate cheese & crackers, which isn't horrible, but I'd like to stay away from the processed stuff. Today, I still feel yucky (TTOM) and slept most of the day. My dad bought me ice cream thinking it would make me feel better. I didn't even try that hard to resist, shame on me! I love ice cream so very much. I think it's in my genes- grandpa has a bowl every night lol! Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.

Hi Kathy,

I'm wondering what kind of meal replacement shake you like. I used to enjoy Myoplex Lite a few years ago, and I think it may be a good way for me to get some more protein.
