Healthy Eating (BFL) Checkin 2/16/05

Thanks goodness we didn't get the snow that was predicted. I am happy about that. This morning I did the standing portion of GS Legs and I tell you my hams are a talking right now. I am enjoying this workout. I don't think I will ever have time to do the full workout at once but maybe I will be able to get some floor work in tonight.

B - yogurt w/cottage cheese, 1/2 ww english muffin w/lf cream cheese
S - Balance Go Mix
L - shrimp w/rice
S - BFL Bar
D - steak with green beans

I need to cut some carbs out of dinner. I have noticed this week that I have been eating too much of the carb thing and that I feel better if I have few to none at dinner.

Next week I think my breakfasts will be different since I won't make it to the grocery store this weekend for more yogurt and cottage cheese. I will probably be switching to 1 egg white and 1 whole egg scrambled in the mornings. I really need some variety for my breakfasts, I should look in some cookbooks.

Good morning,

5:30 am Muscle Endurance. For a while I was doing this once a week, but I haven't used it the last 2 weeks and let me tell you I was struggling this morning. I have that great, totally-worked-out feeling going on right now.

B - soy protein cereal with blueberries, water, coffee
S - protein shake
L - salad, chicken
S - protein bar
D - pork chops, vegies

My upper body and abs have leaned out but my lower half is still the same. I think I am going to take up walking at lunchtime a couple of days a week in addition to my morning workouts and see if that helps. I really didn't want to get into double workouts because it is hard with working full-time and raising kids, but I have to do something to reduce the caboose.

I totally understand. I was also thinking about walking 2-3 times a week when I got home from work. The other days I try to get some yoga in.

Hi,

Today I will be doing Bootcamp Cardio, All the Right Moves floor work, and S&H Chest.

1 - oatmeal, 1 slice turkey breast
2 - 3 slices turkey breast, half a sweet potato
3 - vanilla protein shake with banana
4 - salmon, broccoli
5 - probably chicken and broccoli
