Healthy Eating/BFL Check-in, Friday, March 4

Good morning,

5:45 PLB, plus LL abs

B - 16 oz 1% milk w/Carnation Instant Breakfast, eggo waffle, coffee
S - banana
L - tuna on wheat, apple, 2 fig newtons
S - yogurt
D - quiche, spinach

Well today marks the end of my 2 week experiment of adding more calcium to my diet. Every morning I've had a huge glass of milk with 2 TBSP of Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed in, and then another every night. I weighed in this morning and am down 2 pounds; now only 3 away from goal weight. Nothing else in the diet has changed. I still have my cheat day (and moments ;-)), and I still workout to Cathe 6 days a week. Only difference has been the addition of the milk (about 32 oz total per day). I'll try it for another couple of weeks and see if it continues.

Hey, Shopgirl, maybe that thing about calcium increasing your metabolism is true! But does having milk at night make you feel bloated?

Today will be a run and S&H Triceps.

1 - granola, skim milk
2 - chicken, pear
3 - protein shake
4 - ?
5 - ? probably going out

This isn't good, not being prepared about my meals. Plus, I've been having a bowl of granola and milk at night lately, so I feel really bloated. Gotta cut that out. Night time eating is my worst!

Nope, no bloating. I drink it at least an hour before bedtime, so it's not just sitting there. I think the Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed in helps too. Nighttime eating is tough for me too, because usually I'm hungry but I don't know what I want - and that's where I get into trouble. If I have the milk, it kills the craving.

Shopgirl: WOW, that is great!!!

Today's eats:
Extra lean turkey bacon, string cheese, oats
Turkey meatloaf, mashed potatoes
Chicken, mashed potatoes
Couscous patties
Eggs, potato patties (made too many mashed potatoes!)
CC, fruit

Not sure if I am working out tonight. If so, HIIT. I'm getting a cold and my PF is acting up from not being able to do non-impact cardio this week :( But I'm stuck at home for the next two weeks so hopefully some ice will help get me back on track.
