L - soup
S - protein shake

Good Morning All!

Woohoo! The scales finally moved (down) by 2 pounds after several months. I have been doing Atkins for a year, and switched a few weeks ago to sort of a Lean Bodies diet. Low fat - low to moderate carbs, added more fruits and vegetables and whole grains. It seems to have shocked my body into weight loss mode, FINALLY.

Kathy - your couscous, chickpea, pinenut, raisin salad sounds wonderful. What dressing do you put on it> Is couscous considered a whole grain?

Today's plan:

5:30 a.m. The Firm Super Sculpting

B – 3 egg whites and 1 yoke scrambled with green beans
S – Fat free yogurt with fax meal and kiwi fruit
L – Spinach salad with hard boiled egg, roasted red pepper and crumbled blue cheese
S – Fat free cottage cheese and pepper strips
D – Salad with left over roast beef

Enjoy your day!

Hi Kathy,

Some misunderstanding somewhere, I am not doing SBD. I am just trying to eat better.

I am bummed also that there are no new pictures to look at. This is the first series by Cathe that I am actually really looking forward to. I have gotten her others and they just didn't thrill me but this one for some reason is really exciting me.

Rhonda

Hi Margaret! I got this salad from Trader Joe's in my neighborhood. There's no dressing on it. It tastes very good. Yes couscous is a whole grain. I don't know if you have a Trader Joe where you live but if you do its simply called "Couscous Salad." Its in the produce section. BTW your meals are GREAT! Kathy:D

PS: Congrats on the 2# loss!!

Hi Rhonda! Oops! That message should've gone to Cbelle. I must need some more coffee instead of the tea:7 Sorry about that Rhonda.

This series is a winner IMO; can't wait to try out the band w/these new exercises. I bet its gonna hurt but in a good way}( Kathy:D

Thanks, Kathy!

What a coincidence - my husband just returned from Fresno and brought back some dried fruits from Trader Joes. We don't have one in our area and I'd never heard of it before. Sounds like I can whip up the salad myself then. It sounds so good!

Margaret

Hi all!

Today's workout is the elliptical machine.

Meal 1: Kashi Go Lean with Soy Milk
Meal 2: EAS bar
Meal 3: Salmon salad on whole wheat bread w/ lite mayo
Meal 4: Cottage cheese with blueberries
Meal 5: Peanut butter in a whole wheat tortilla
Meal 6: Grilled Chicken breast, baked tater with salsa and mixed veggies

Enjoy your day!

Hi all! Well, today for a workout I think that I will be doing KPC. I love that workout.

B- Jello Smoothy
L- Talapia w/ green beans
S- protein shake
D- chicken w/ mixed vegies
s- Apple

Thank you Kathy H for reminding me about Talapia, what a great change that was! I broiled up 4 fillets and that way I only have to reheat them as I need.
All right, well, have a great day!

Kathy,

Jello Smoothy - exactly what is this? Sounds yummy

Rhonda

It's very easy, that's for sure! If you go to where the prepackaged jello containers are in your grocery store, it's right there. It's very yummy. I actually bought them for my son, but he doesn't like them. So, I'm eating them, they are low calorie wise, so I don't feel guilty.
OH, but I have to tell you about this really yummy jello recipe that I made yesterday, it's already gone. Ok, you take one package of sugar free jello, any flavor (the 4 serving size), and add 1 and a hlaf cups boiling water. Then after that is dissolved you add two cups light cool whip. Let it set in your refrigerator and then enjoy. It says it makes 5 servings, at my house it made 4, maybe. Just because it was soo good.

Kathy

No exercise today...rest day.

B - Kashi Go Lean! Soy milk
S - Fiberwise bar & bite-sized Milky Way from daughter's Halloween stash
L - Hummus wrap in whole wheat tortilla, salad
S - blueberries & raspberries. Apple cinnamon soy crisps
D - sirloin steak, veggies and salad
