Healthy Breakfast Idea's?

I'm a big oatmeal fan. The easiest recipe in the world for great oatmeal pancakes - high in protein, low in fat too - is:

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup oats (old-fashioned kind, not instant)
1/2 cup egg whites (about 3-4)

Dump ingredients in blender, whir until smooth, pour onto nonstick griddle and cook until done!

I also love nonfat plain yogurt mixed with uncooked oatmeal, a little wheat germ and fruit - any fruit will do.

I eat the same thing for breakfast everyday...
1/2 cup oatmeal with 2 tbs. flaxseed, slenda and I top it off with this low calorie syrup made with splenda. It only has 10 calories per 1/4 cup:)
Apple
multi-vitamin, folic acid and vitamin e

A-Jock, you have GOT to stop! My computer screen has -- yet again -- gotten sprayed with the water I was drinking. I'll probably get electrocuted next time. You are a riot, girl.

RE: To Soooooooosan . . .

Hello again, Sooooooooooooosan (if that is your real name):

Do you think I'm kidding? Huh? Well, do ya?

BTW, be on the lookout for two more articles in Squirrel Fitness from Bald-Two-Oh: "Hamsterobics Explained" and "GerbilSpin". SF has tried very hard to expand its readership to the non-bushy-tailed population, and I gotta give 'em credit for that.

Re Rocky and his med ball: he should start with an acorn and work his way up. Plus, he can modify an acorn by cutting the cap off and using it like a BOSU trainer.

I always eat something different, but this a new favorite of mine.

1/2 c quick oats
1/2 small can crushed pineapple
1 container vanilla yogurt (6-8 oz.) I use Yoplait

Mix together. Can add some toasted sliced almonds if you like. Refrigerate overnight. Eat with sliced bananas.

Makes 2 servings.

RE: To Soooooooosan . . .

It's amazing how much you know about rodent fitness! That's great advice about Rocky working his way up from an acorn and modifying another one as a BOSU. Where did you get your training? I guess "Gerbilspin" is a follow-up article to "Squirrelspin." Rocky really enjoyed that article. The Spinning instructor at the Y commented on his good form shortly after he read it.

Sprinkled with Splenda
