Hi Girls,
I guess I can quit whining now b/c my baby boy finally made his appearance!
On Wed I went for a non stress test b/c I was over due and of course everything was fine. I didn't know when I was going to see my Dr again so my sister who is home (and is a nurse) checked me, and I was 3 cm dilated.
Around 7:30 that evening I started having (what I thought was)Braxton Hicks contractions but they were only 5 mins apart. Then at around 9:30 I thought I was in labour b/c the contractions were closer and stronger. At 11 we left for the hospital, checked in and got settled away. At 12 they gave me something for the pain and I was already 6 cms.
At 12:30 they took me to the case room. Im not sure when I told them to check me again but my contractions were getting "different" and stronger. I felt the urge to do something. Sure enough, I was between 9 and 10 cms.
The only problem I had was that my water didn't break and the nurses weren't aloud to break it so when I was pushing he was coming with the bag of water. Finally, my water broke and he was born at 1:35 in the morning. The nurse delivered him b/c the Dr didn't make it in time.
It was a harder labour then with my daugther but atleast it was short. The pushing was harder then I remember b.c with her it was more of a releif but with him it was harder.
Anyway, we are home now. He was 7 pounds 4 oz and 51 cms long. He is so cute and we are enjoying him so much. DH and DD are tickled.
Just had to share of course...was I the last to go???
