Have You Ever Gotten Unsolicited or Obnoxious Advice?!?

Cathlete
Hi Cathletes!

Most of you know that I'm blogging about my 60 pound weight loss in 6 hair appointments or less. Today, I wrote about the unsolicited and obnoxious advice people feel free to give to other people who are already in the process of losing weight. I am very interested in hearing your story. If you have had a similar experience, in any area of your life, would you please take a moment and share your story? The address is http://ejis60x6.squarespace.com. I really want to hear from you, my fellow Cathletes.

Thanks so much!

Sara...if you're reading this...thanks so much for your post! Have you ever thought about sending in a postcard to Post Secret? The link is on my blog. It's the coolest project, completely anonymous, you get to say whatever you want to say, and it's so cathartic. I totally get where you're coming from.

DP...I can't believe the stuff you got as a preggers mommy!!! Who says that stuff?

Thanks so much, both of you, for sharing your stories. It's so good to connect with you.

For those of you who still want to share a painful or ridiculous advice story, I'd love to hear. Just click on the link below.

Warmest,

I love your blog! As a Cathe fan, a Red Raider ( '88) and a former big hair girl ( ah the 80's in Lubbock Texas)..... I can relate! Thanks for the laughs.

ValDavis...you are a Red Raider?!? And a big-hair goddess?!? And a dog lover, I see!!! We are instant friends!!! Do you still live in Lubbock? What was your major at Tech?

I have to tell you...a couple of years ago, I was driving around in L.A., missing home...and the guy in the car in front of me rolled down his window and gave me the "Get you guns up" sign!!! I almost had an accident, I was so excited. He must have seen my Texas Tech plates. Anyway, please let's stay in touch...here on on the blog.

Love from a Red Raider and her Shih Tzu!!

Hey Elizabeth, I majored in merchandising in the college of home ec. Now I live in Arlington, TX and teach school. So at least I am still in Texas.
The pic is of my pug at Christmas. She was really thrilled that I was doing that to her.
I have only driven through Lubbock a few times since I left. It is amazing how much is still the same. Although I hear that it is no longer 'dry'. How college kids can skip the rite of passage of their first trip to the strip to buy beer is beyond me.
I will keep an eye on your blog. You are a talented writer.
Val

Val...I graduated from the same college...in Family Studies. And taught high school in Fort Worth (Arlington Heights) for a while. I love love love love love the DFW area!

I couldn't believe that Lubbock went wet last year! It's bizarre not to have to go out to the strip. You're right...it's a total rite of passage!

So good to connect with a fellow Texan and dog lover!

See you in Blogsville, friend!!
