have to read this [shocking]

My DH is in pediatrics and you'd be surprised and appalled by what people do, or allow to happen, to children:-(
 
OMG...send a large full grown pit bull to chew off every one of both parents' toes.

Honestly, as a former foster parent this and oh so worse happens constantly to children...you would not believe (and would not want to hear) the stories I could tell you. I been involved in some horrid court cases regarding abused children. I always pray for all children everywhere. So many will not be helped because noone will ever know they exist before it is too late...I pray for comfort for them.

Going to hug my boys now.

I have to tell you, this story sounds suspicious to me. It was a 6-week old puppy. I can't imagine a puppy that young being that agressive. I just saw a video, and this dog is very small. But the main thing that got me was how calm the mother sounded. She seemed extremely calm for someone who's child had been injured and maimed for life.

It just ain't adding up for me.
 
I am suspicious too...can't fathom it. Something tells me that this story will develop and change in a week or two.
 
Oh my God.There was just an article in our paper. Mom had her 3 kids taken. Filthy, locked in the bathroom. Kids had head and body lice and malnourished.
What is wrong with people. Then there are so many that want babies and can't have them.
What is wrong with people????

They had to have been seriously doped up. New parents are typically so sensitive to the slightest movement of their new babies.

Some have said they think the puppy was hungry and was trying to nurse on the babys toes.

I feel so bad for that little baby.

As an animal lover I feel for the puppy too. He did not know any better and he will most likely be killed because of their negligence. People like that disgust me. x(

I read that, too, and honestly I don't know if I believe that angle. If nursing was that damaging, then there would be nippless dogs running all over the place. I do think that it could have started out that way and then when the baby started to kick the pup thought it was play time... oh, that poor, poor baby! ;( I really wish that I didn't read this. I can't believe that things like this can happen. ;(

Missy, I'm sorry I opened the link, too. I've had a stomachache since reading that story. What the &^%! is wrong with people??? Seriously, I am starting to think that procreation should be carefully monitored. Ugh.
 
I can see it now....20 years from now, the girl is all grown up and someone asks her why she doesn't have any toes on one foot. Her answer? "Oh, my parents let the dog chew them off when I was a baby!"

Come on, people, this was a freakin' pit bull! Has anyone heard of these dogs NOT being violent??? I had one attack me from across the road while I was running last summer! I also watched a 8 yr old boy's reconstruction surgery (when I was in nursing school) to try and replace what was left of his arms after 2 pit bulls got done with him!
