Have MP3; NOW WHAT?!

Good morning, all you techno-wizards - once again this is A Cry For Help . . .

On Friday I received my newest widget - a submersible, waterproof MP3 player from Oregon Scientific that holds up to 32 hours of music. It's a little bitty work of art but for one small issue:

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE *&^% TO DO WITH IT!!!!!

The owner's manual doesn't tell me squat about how to load my music playlists from my computer (Windows Media) onto the thing, nor does it tell me clearly how to select said playlist (which can be comprised of up to a dozen songs in a very deliberate order). It did come with its own USB port, and I guess that's a good thing.

help

please help

OH, dear AJ I am not much help. I have an IPOD. DID you try to Google the name of your MP3 to see if there is a web page offering support ofr use of it?

Good Luck my friend.

Edit to add:

I found this link-

Maybe it will answer some of your questions?

Hey A-Jock!

DH says you should have received software that came with the MP3 player. Was there? Do you already have music on your computer? The software that came with your MP3 should be able to take music off of a CD and put it on your computer.

If you're using Windows Media Player, you'll need to make sure your MP3 player is compatible with Windows Media Player b/c not all MP3 players are. If you want to use the software that came with your MP3 player, that would be the safest b/c then you don't have to worry about the compatibility with Windows Media Player.

In Windows Media Player, if that's what you're gonna use, there is a Sync List (tab) and that's where you should put your songs that you want to sync with your MP3 player b/c the Sync List is the list that syncs with MP3. If you go to the help menu in Windows Media Player (F1 key - I had to ask as I couldn't see a Help Menu!) and type in sync, that should help you.

If you're are going to use the software that came with it, DH said he isn't much help b/c they're all different.

I hope this helps. I have no clue about any of this stuff and don't know what I'd do without DH. I guess I'd post here! :)

I'm sorry, A-jock. I'm not much help either. I just plug my MP3 player into the side of my laptop and point and click stuff and the songs appear. In other words, I know how to do it, but can't describe it. I also have a different kind than you have, and I don't think mine needs any particular software. Again, no help whatsoever. :(

OK.THIS SHOULD WORK.
Rip what ever songs you want on it to your windows media player
When you plug in your usb for mp3 go into my computer and the device should appear.
Drag any songs from media player to the device.Hold the control key and highlight them then drag them on over to do a bunch at once.
If it had no software this is probably the way...
