Good mignon!

Last night as it got closer to the time I had to go out to the club, I felt more and more like I was getting a cold...so I cancelled on the club and instead went to sleep at 10pm. ZOW! http://bestsmileys.com/wow/1.gif Michele, you are up for some killer sleep! I haven't slept that much in a while. I woke up feeling mucho better.

And so, I just finished up Muscle Max upper with abs. Well, actually, I just finished my smoothie. :) It felt good to work out. It felt especially good to stretch! Now I'm off for a shower and then an April's Fool's Sunday walk with Mom.

Then to the grocery store since I'm waaaaaay out of food.

Hello August, thougt I'd check to see if anyone posted, I thought maybe you would.

Sorry you aren't feeling well, I had a horrible sore throat Friday, it is a litte better now but still sore.

I know you have told us before what kind of smoothie you make & I'm too lazy to go back & search.

I am still worried about Arista, I hope everything is okay.

My smoothie is frozen banana and berry, whey powder and some kind of green (right now, spinach). I also sometimes add All-Bran or raw oatmeal, but I've been trying it without.

Anyway, hope your sore throat gets all the way better by...an hour from now! :)

Good evening! I had a great day even thought I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I gained 4 pounds during my light cardio recovery week. :eek: Repeat after me: CARDIO IS MY FRIEND! I LOVE CARDIO! :7

My income tax return arrived! :7 I also received another financial blessing in the mail today. :7 After a hair appointment this afternoon, I decided to celebrate. I took a road trip to a nearby town for a celebration lunch at my favorite tea and coffee shop. I enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich on 7-grain bread. :9 This was not a greasy sandwich. It did not contain any butter at all. It was filled with cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and feta cheese. :9 Yummy! I also enjoyed a frozen lemonade and a small piece of lemon drop cheesecake. :9 I indulged in a piece of dark chocolate tonight and a glass of sweet tea. :9 This was definitely a holiday from clean eating. It will be interesting to see what the scale reveals tomorrow morning. :eek:

I came up with a new game plan for my next Cathe rotation while I was enjoying dessert this afternoon! It involves cardio, cardio, and more cardio. :7 As soon as I fulfill my promise to share my Texas Sheet Cake recipe, I will be packing my bags and moving my Texas-size cardio-lovin' butt out of Hatesville. :p I am so not a weight training girl. Cathe’s April rotation does not appeal to me at all. My heart belongs in the land of cardio love. :)

I went shopping this afternoon. No, I did not buy any shoes. ;-) I did try on several more pairs of running shoes, and I added one to my wish list for when I get serious about running. :7 I bought Asics performance socks at Academy, and I found a cute top on sale at Belk. I stopped by Sports Authority on the way home and bought a coral top and a periwinkle top for the Road Trip. These are smaller versions of the workout tops I bought last weekend. I am wearing an extra large now and decided to buy one of each in the next size down. I could not resist at a clearance price of $8.99. These colors are beautiful on me, and I have pictures to think about that will be posted here and at Cathe’s place. I decided that the medium would be too much of a stretch. I can wear the large now, but I look like 10 pounds of sugar in a 5-pound sack! :7 LOL!

I bought a new bra too. I had to replace my favorite one. I lost it the day I signed up for the Cathe Road Trip. :eek: No, this is not an April Fool’s Day joke. My favorite bra has been missing in action for over a week. Ask Shelley! Yes, I already looked in the refrigerator. :7 I could not find it in there. :7 LOL!

The party is over. It is time to start training for the Cathe Road Trip. Tomorrow is dawn of a new month. Spring has arrived, and bluebonnets are blanketing the beautiful Texas landscape. :) I am ready to break free from this fat cocoon. Yes, it is time. Saddle up your horses and get ready for a great and glorious adventure. Come along if you dare! :7

Heather i also am a shoe lover, but i have to ask,, where do you keep all those shoes, and when do you wear the running shoes, If i remember you owned 22 pairs Even if you wore 1 a day 7 days a week that would bring you to 3 weeks without a change of shoes LOL

Michele mentioned that she'd emailed her, but no response yet. It is kind of strange since she was so regular...I do hope she's all right.

Heather! Don't leave the haters just because you choose to love cardio. I'm right there with you and I ain't a goin' no where. Just post your cardio workout here. Everyone here loves you and will support you, no matter what you love or hate.

Mariah, I think Michele or someone tried to email Arista and got no reply. And I'm pretty sure Heather is up to 24 or more pairs of shoes now. She went shopping while you were gone. Have you managed to get exercise back into your daily routine? What is the Black College Reunion thing? Is Black a college name, or is it a reunion for those who attended a black college?

August, I'm glad you got a good sleep. I hope you and your Mom had a great walk and didn't fall for any April Fool's pranks. The local paper ran an article about a new bike/hike path the other day. They listed the rules for it's use. Some included using the path in one direction on even days and the opposite direction on odd days, due to high usage. Also, bike riders were required to get off their bikes and walk for a certain distance. My DH was reading the article and getting madder and madder, until he got to the end and was told it was an April fool's joke. Usually he picks up on those right away, but this article must have just sounded too real.

Becky, I join you on the hate to paint thing. It took us 2 full weeks to get a little dinky bedroom repainted. My DH was going to do it all during spring break, but I ended up doing almost all the trim and the doors, the worst part in my opinion.

Jen, I hope your sore throat clears up and doesn't turn into the nasty upper respiratory thing everyone around here has. I've been washing my hands like a mad woman. I want no part of it.

So haters, I'm not sure what the month of April will bring for me, besides very special guests at the end of the month. No Dana, it isn't Michele, although she was invited. You'll have to guess again. I may try Cathe's April rotation. I kind of like having everyday figured out for me. Today is the last day of Nov 06 rotation for me and should be Drill Max, but I just don't think I have it in me today. I may just do a step workout. We'll see how I feel when I get home from work.

Morning kids!

How is everyone this fine April morning? I got up early and ran just over six miles. At about the last mile and a half, it started POURING icy rain, so by the time I got home I was soaked to the skin. I didn't care much about me being wet, but I was worried about my iPod getting wet. I'll having to check and see what they say about iPods getting wet in the rain.

August - sorry you didn't go clubbing last night. What kind of club would you have been going to? What kind of music?

Jen - I hope your throat starts to feel better soon. You were up LATE last night, young lady! I definitely won the pajama race last night!

Heather - I can't believe that bra wasn't in the fridge! Your lunch yesterday sounds divine. And I'm with Robin - DON'T LEAVE US!!! I love cardio too and I post in here. I think you need to come visit me so we can go shopping. I suck at shopping.

Mariah - how goes the exercise thing?

Robin - I hope your day at work flies by. How did your thingie go last night? Did you eat lots of bad stuff? Or wait... is it tonight? I'm so confused.

Deb - GO DANCING! I'm going to see Armin Van Buuren spin in Toronto on April 21st and I can't wait, and I'll be front and centre on the dance floor (actually, somehow I usually end up on the stage, but we won't go there:p).

I have to go dry dogs off!

Good morning haters! I have been running around this morning doing errands, etc... before the stores get busy, Saturday & Sunday early mornings are the best time to get them done. I hate spending my weekend waiting in lines at places or in the vehicle trying to get from point A to point B.

I am now heading downstairs to Drill Max! I love that workout, I can't wait to get started. I think I did the cardio/leg premix last weekend so I'll do the original version today.

August- Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. Glad you are feeling fine & sorry you missed the club. The smoothie sounds good...well except for the spinach in it. I do like a spinach salad but in a smoothie.....:eek:

Heather- Well the bra has to somewhere around your place, right? Unless you've been getting naked other places besides home?!?! }(

Mariah- Hope you were able to wake up this morning. What workout are you doing today?

Robin- Sorry you have to work today, ick! I know what you mean about drill max- you have to be in tip top state of mind to make it through that one. That being said, that is what I'm doing today! My throat is feeling better, still a little sore but I can tell it's getting better.

Shelley- Six miles in already? Wow, I'm impressed! Hope your iPod is okay...I would say if it was still playing when you made it back home that you should be okay...I think. What kind of dogs do you have? I think you also have a cat too, right?

Okay everyone I am off to drill to the max. Today is cleaning around the house & relaxing for me. Going to try & be done with everything by mid-afternoon so I can just relax & enjoy the day.

Hi Jen! It seems to be fine. I had it in my pocket, so it didn't get too soaked. We have a Shepherd X named Gilbert and a Lab/Retriever cross named Sadie. We used to have a cat but she passed away last summer. If I don't get my run out of the way in the morning on the weekends, I end up trying to cram it in at the end of the day and that never works very well.

JEN - You know what? You may have been right after all. I was totally good all day, but once the sun went to down, my throat started feeling funky. Of course being that I slept a TON last night, I'm totally awake now that it's 1am. I hope I'll wake up bacteria-free!...Oooh, you gotta try spinach in your smoothie. You don't taste a dang thing!

Shelley- I can completly understand the needing to w/o first thing in the morning, especially when you have kids! During the week I have to come home & workout before I do anything...if I don't it is too easy to say, ah I'll skip it. On weekends I workout in the morning also, typically first thing on Saturdays and Sunday's right after the grocery store trip! Drillmax is done... Did I mention I LOVE that workout? So sorry to hear about your cat, how sad. I lost my child CJ, Siamese/himalayan mix, 3 years ago. Had her from 8wks old until she was 10. I still miss her, she was one of a kind. :(

August- Oh no... sounds like you may be getting sick. Are you still awake? Hopefully since tomorrow or should I say today is Monday for you I hope it is a work from home in your PJs day for you! I can't go out & drink like I used to... I don't know how I ever did it when I was like 21-23-I was out EVERY night until 3 AM & would be at work the next day at 8. Now, I have more than 3-4 drinks and I'm hungover for 2-3 days, just isn't worth it!

Okay, going to run a few small errands real quick then home to make lunch and check back in with you haters! I also need to figure out my rotation for this week...I think I am going to include both Powerstrikes this week, decisions, decisions! BBL
 
Hello, Cardio Haters! I thought it would be a good day to check-in with you since it's April Fool's Day. :7 LOL! I am BelovedHeather's friend. :) I just took her progress pictures this morning. Taking pictures of Heather every month is my new hobby. :7 LOL!

I am hoping to get on board with Cathe as soon as I open the box. Heather took me to Target last June to buy the Cathe step and DVDs. They are still in the box. No, this is not an April Fool's joke. :7 I previewed Kick Max at Heather's place and want to know if Cathe knows she is not a rabbit with all that jumping she does. :eek: That girl bounces around like a bunny rabbit on crack! :eek: I'm scared of Cathe!

I am a slow loser, but there is more of me to love. ;-) I do not shrink as fast as the rest of you. I'm scared of cardio. :eek:

Heather looks so good. :) She is shrinking, but her shoe collection is growing. :eek: My next hobby is to do a shoe-vention! :7 I guess it's true that you trade addictions. Food for shoes! :p

Hi rebeccarose. I repeat, open the box!

Jen, I could never party like that, even in my early 20's. Actually, I started to party in college, met my future DH, who was a teetotaler, so I quit drinking. We were well into our 30's before we started to appreciate beer and wine (and Jack D for him). A couple glasses of wine with a good meal is about all the partying I can handle.

Shelley, I have no idea who Armin Van Whatshisname is, but I get a kick out of thinking of you up on stage. My thingie was last night. I didn't eat too much. A taste of this and a taste of that. It really wasn't too hard to resist, because most people brought store bought goodies, instead of homemade. I can pass up a frozen, store bought coconut cream pie pretty easily. And there was NO CHOCOLATE. Weird, huh?

August, I sure hope that funky throat thing clears up. Did Oogie get rid of her radishes before they rotted? What do you do with rotten radishes in Oogieland? Bet she could distill them into some kind of really expensive, potent beverage. Radishina.

Rebeccarose- Welcome!!! So, have you opened the box yet? Just do it! It'll take time to build up to Cathe workouts but every little bit counts & eventually you'll be doing a full workout & feel wonderful! Just do what you can for now...but do something!!! :)

Deb- I think you are right about the cardio haters to cardio lovers in this check-in. I am one of the few that doesn't like cardio but I do love KPC, drill max, & my powerstrike workouts...but that doesn't count!

Robin- Yeah I don't know how I ever did it & glad I grew out of that stage! Now I may have a glass of Cabernet w/ dinner or a beer in the summer or Kaluha & cocoa in the winter but that is about the extent of my drinking. Too many calories too, I'd rather use those calories towards a brownie or something!!! ;)

Tuesday- Tone It Up

Wednesday- off night

Thursday- Cindy Whitmarsh Ultimate Fat Burner & B&G floor glute work

I hope to get my workouts I ordered this week too, if I do I think I'll do Jari's w/o Saturday afternoon to see how I like it.

Good Sunday evening everyone. I'm so sorry to have made any of you worry. My final project was due last week and I had a mini-mental breakdown. I was SO tired of being on the computer, that I had to pull out all the stops to get away from it... including leaving my beloved haters for a week and a half. But I'm back and I really missed this thread. I feel revived after having at least a few computer free days.

I'm looking forward to catching up, but I need one more night off before I'm back in the swing of things on Monday. I've also decided to cut my bachelor's in web development down to an associates in web design. I can always finish my bachelor's later if I think its necessary.

Whew. what a relief!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend and I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow.

ARISTA!!!!!! Thank goodness you are okay! You had me very worried but now just happy to know you are alright! Can totally understand the stress, hope it gets better for you. Sounds like you are making some modifications so it will be a little less stressful, good for you!

Yep, in my jammies also, took a shower about 6 after doing 40 minutes of leg/glute work and put my jammies on right after! I love my jammies!!!:D
