Hello ladies.
Terri - OMG you have returned???? So you return to us and all you type is one line???? What is up with that??? So what is new and exciting with you? We all miss you so stop avoiding us!
Michele – wow, what a bad day you had yesterday. Today can only get better, right??? How is your kitty? I hope he is ok. Did you tell DH he owes you since you had such a crappy day? Perhaps dinner and a movie? I used to have a kitty. His name was Malachi and he was the only indoor cat that I ever had. Growing up we always had outside cats. This was when I lived w/a roommate and one night we were watching tv and I heard a meowing on my front porch, opened the door and there was the cutest kitty I ever did see. He was probably about 4-6 months old and was a grey tiger stripe. It was love at first sight and he became my best buddy. I brought him in the house and my roommate stayed with him and I headed to Wal-Mart to get all the necessary cat stuff. I made an appt and took him to the vet for a check up and shots. He was the funniest little guy. He had the greatest personality. He reminded me so much more of a person then a cat. I had him for almost 2 years. He started acting up, or so I thought that was what he was doing. He NEVER went on my counters or table. But I noticed he was peeing on top of my stove??? I thought he was mad at me b/c that was around the time I started seeing DH so I wasn’t around as much as I used to be. Since I never had an indoor cat before, I didn’t realize that something was wrong with him. Had I known this, he probably would still be with me. I remember coming home from work and he was so sick, crying and crying. My mom and I rushed him to the vet and he just laid on my lap, which was not him because he was normally so spunky and full of life. I remember his big green eyes looking into mine as if he was saying,” Mom I’m sick.” So we took him to the vet and turns out he had a blocked bladder. He had surgery done and the vet called me the next day and said that the surgery was unsuccessful that the bladder got blocked again and that they could do another surgery but chances were, this would keep happening. I was told that the food he was eating may have been the cause b/c he had too much ash in his bladder. I had to have him put down. The most stressful, uncompassionate thing about that whole ordeal was that I had to go and pick up his body. The box he was in was still warm. I cried the whole way back to my parent’s house where I buried him. I don’t know why I’m talking about Malachi now b/c he has been gone for about 6 years but I do think about him from time to time. He was a great boy!!! Michele I really hope everything is ok with your kitty.
Jen – yesterday was when we had our office luncheon. I ate crappy. I had a ham BBQ sandwich, some chicken & rice casserole, a piece of Hawaiian wedding cake and some other dessert thing? I made pineapple-upside muffins but since I made them right before coming into work, they were still warm so I told everyone to eat them then rather then at lunch. They were pretty good and only 212 calories each. Today I brought the LC spinach and mushroom deep dish pizza. I haven’t had that one yet. When I was at the grocery store the other day, Healthy Choice meals were on sale 5/$9 so I got 5 of them. I tried to pick the ones that were 330 calories or under. I like to have an apple or other piece of fruit w/my lunch. Reading your workouts make me tired.
Robin – isn’t this weather WONDERFUL!!! It’s about time! So what fun activities do you have planned for Shelley and Sophie? I think it is going to be nice next weekend too. How did your dinner turn out last night?
Shelley - What's up with you today?
Last night I took Gabe to Wal-Mart so he could pick out his birthday gifts. Here is what he got: swimming trunks with skulls on them, a shirt with a skeleton riding a motorcycle, and here are the toys: a 1/2 pipe skateboard thing from Hotweels, 2 mini skateboard guys for the skatepipe thing, a hotwheels car and a hotwheels motorcycle. Last night I cut his hair. He keeps his hair in a buzz cut b/c he has major cowlicks. So I gave him a mowhawk, he looked silly. After he checked it out we both decided it would look best if we shaved it off!!! I baked the cookies for him. What a night! Then DH wanted his hair cut so at 5:30 this morning I was cutting his hair. Tonight is t-ball practice, then perhaps out for dinner, tomorrow is a t-ball game and my mom and some other relatives are coming over for birthday cake, and Sunday Gabe was invited to his friend's b-day party at a bowling alley. So once again, I've got a busy weekend.

I'm ROTFLMAO about the mohawk!!
Kitty seems fine but I'm dropping him off at the vet tomorrow for a urinalysis. He had bladder stones several years ago and has been fine ever since. I have his urine checked every 6 months just to be sure everything is OK. He's on a prescription canned food and has been fine ever since. The last time this happened, though, he had a little infection. I hope that's all it is.
I'm so sorry about your little Malachi. I had another kitty that had to be put down a couple of years ago. He had some freaky brain infection. I cried for about 2 days. I still miss him.
Jen, I'm so sorry about your friend's dog and kitty. I'll keep them in my prayers. It's always so hard to lose a pet, or to see them sick and helpless. It just breaks your heart. And veterinary care has gotten to be so expensive anymore. It's almost unaffordable.
I just got off the phone with my friend, Nancy. Her surgery is this afternoon and she's getting a little nervous about it but she's in good spirits. I can't stress enough how much all your prayers mean to me -- AND her.
The car saga continues http://bestsmileys.com/cars/14.gif . DH's car wasn't ready last night -- they had to order a part and it's supposed to be ready tonight. DH had to rent a car today because I had to drop mine off for a tune up and repairs. I'm due for every imaginable system flush you can think of, as well as an oil change, and that door handle. By the time I left the shop, my estimate stood at $800 (it appears those flushes are very expensive).
So I no more than get home when the phone rings -- it was Jack, the friendly neighborhood mechanic http://bestsmileys.com/talking/8.gif . Jack says they discovered a crack in the radiator while doing one of those $100 flush jobs. Jack was happy to tack on an additional $600 for a new radiator. http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/9.gif

My boss just got a 2008 Black Ford Escape, OMG is it beautiful! Black leather interior with chrome accents, sunroof, fully loaded. I love it!!! Then she'll say that I can take it if I need to go somewhere. No way am I driving someone else's brand new car.
I've got to leave in a few minutes to go pick up the Spongebob birthday cake.
Did I tell you all that Gannon thinks his name is Bob???? He is obsessed with Spongebob aka BOBBOB to him and he tells everyone that is his name. What a boy!

Nancy is my friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. They're planning a lumpectomy but she could come out with a mastectomy, depending on what they find once they get in there.

I know, I know, but the repairs are still cheaper than a new car. My car is 9 years old and it still runs pretty well. I hate spending money on it but I don't want to go into debt for a new one. Right now the only debt we have is our mortgage and I want to keep it that way. I'd like to put off buying a new car until we can save enough $$ to pay for it up front.

Michele - I cannot imagine what Nancy has to be feeling emotionally not knowing exactly what the outcome of her surgery will be. She is lucky to have you for a friend. Will you be able to visit with her at all soon?

Awww. Shucks. I was just trying to catch up when I read Dana's question. I love being refered to as "our lovely Robin." I've been busy with major spring cleaning chores and errands. I don't have time to reply to all, but I have read and gaffawed and cried when approprite.
Today's workout was PLB. I never got to it yesterday. I had hoped to get in a short run with this great weather, but I ran out of time instead. Yuk yuk.

Hello haters, man it sure has been quiet around here lately. I see Terri stopped by! I just responded to your e-mail...
I did one of the new Slim Series express workouts tonight, Cardio Scult along with 30 min Bun Shaper. I was very disappointed in the slim series express, not sure what I was expecting but I won't be doing that workout very often.
I have the worst sinus headache tonight and am mentally worn from this week at work. I plan on getting to bed early tonight & getting up early and enjoying the nice weather this weekend.
