Hi ladies -
Michele - no, I take the prize for whimpiest legs by far!! I can't wait to buy and try the 4DS, however, I never got a chance to really use the most recent dvds before that b/c of the pregnancy so I have to do those first before I buy any new ones.
I didn't end up doing the kickboxing video yesterday, just too much going on with MIL over. My 6 week appointment went well and I got the okay to do any sort of exercise!
So can y'all help me out with my first postbaby rotation? This rotation is going only be for about a month, and will be using my beginner/intermediate videos. I generally only have about 30-40 min to work out during the day (her naps are only about 40 min to 1 1/2 hr but I need time to shower and her naps are not a predictable length yet). And I could add on 10-15 min at night after Michael gets here, but I don't want to waste too much of our precious time together at night. I have so many goals that it is hard for me to focus on what to do.
The major problem areas I want to focus on are my hips and tummy pooch (I can't even call them abs at this point). That is where I am mostly carrying the last few pounds and that is the reason I can't fit into my old clothes. Also, my work Christmas party is in about 3 weeks and I want to look presentable in my evening dress, which mostly means I don't want my arms to be too flabby.
So my thought was to do run/walk and kickboxing as my cardio to work on my legs, thighs and hips, to do pilates ab work every night to work out my tummy pooch, and do pushups every night to work on my arms. I would also do a couple full body toning routines a week to work on everything.
So my idea would be a routine that looks something like this:
M: 40 min of kickboxing
T: 30-40 min full body toning
W: 30 min walk/run w/s stroller
Th: 40 min of kickboxing
F: 30 - 40 min full body toning
Sa: 30 min walk/run w/ stroller
And then I would do like 10 mins of pilates and pushups at night once DH gets home.
What do y'all think?
Also, I have no idea what size to buy my evening dress for the Christmas party in. I usually order them from the internet b/c the selection is better than the stores but I have no idea what size I am or what size I will be in 3 weeks since I am steadily losing weight. I would rather have something a little to big than a little too small though! And I need to find a dress that won't emphasis my tummy area. Shopping is not fun right now! I am going to the mall tomorrow to get a new outfit for a wedding reception we have on Sunday night because I have nothing that fits me anymore so I will try on some dresses too and see what size I am now. I am still wearing maternity pants and my shirts don't fit (because of tummy and also bigger chest).
