Hi ladies -

Michele - no, I take the prize for whimpiest legs by far!! I can't wait to buy and try the 4DS, however, I never got a chance to really use the most recent dvds before that b/c of the pregnancy so I have to do those first before I buy any new ones.

I didn't end up doing the kickboxing video yesterday, just too much going on with MIL over. My 6 week appointment went well and I got the okay to do any sort of exercise!

So can y'all help me out with my first postbaby rotation? This rotation is going only be for about a month, and will be using my beginner/intermediate videos. I generally only have about 30-40 min to work out during the day (her naps are only about 40 min to 1 1/2 hr but I need time to shower and her naps are not a predictable length yet). And I could add on 10-15 min at night after Michael gets here, but I don't want to waste too much of our precious time together at night. I have so many goals that it is hard for me to focus on what to do.

The major problem areas I want to focus on are my hips and tummy pooch (I can't even call them abs at this point). That is where I am mostly carrying the last few pounds and that is the reason I can't fit into my old clothes. Also, my work Christmas party is in about 3 weeks and I want to look presentable in my evening dress, which mostly means I don't want my arms to be too flabby.

So my thought was to do run/walk and kickboxing as my cardio to work on my legs, thighs and hips, to do pilates ab work every night to work out my tummy pooch, and do pushups every night to work on my arms. I would also do a couple full body toning routines a week to work on everything.

So my idea would be a routine that looks something like this:

M: 40 min of kickboxing
T: 30-40 min full body toning
W: 30 min walk/run w/s stroller
Th: 40 min of kickboxing
F: 30 - 40 min full body toning
Sa: 30 min walk/run w/ stroller

And then I would do like 10 mins of pilates and pushups at night once DH gets home.

What do y'all think?

Also, I have no idea what size to buy my evening dress for the Christmas party in. I usually order them from the internet b/c the selection is better than the stores but I have no idea what size I am or what size I will be in 3 weeks since I am steadily losing weight. I would rather have something a little to big than a little too small though! And I need to find a dress that won't emphasis my tummy area. Shopping is not fun right now! I am going to the mall tomorrow to get a new outfit for a wedding reception we have on Sunday night because I have nothing that fits me anymore so I will try on some dresses too and see what size I am now. I am still wearing maternity pants and my shirts don't fit (because of tummy and also bigger chest).

Good morning!!

Well, since I started the 10# meltdown challenge I have lost and gained until I broke even -- lol! Crap, I've never worked out so much in my life and I seem to be getting no where fast, although I did take a 1/2" off my waist, so I do think I'm getting slimmer.

I'm responsible for cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year and I'm starting to panic http://bestsmileys.com/panic/2.gif

I'm going to get a head start on the grocery shopping today. I need to buy a bigger roasting pan, too. On top of that I'm getting my family room measured for new carpet first thing Monday morning and I can't decide what I want at all. I have a kazillion samples here and I don't like any of them, so I'm heading back to the store today to see what else they have. Oh yeah, and I have a workout to do, too -- 30 minutes of cardio, shoulders, calves, and core.

Diane - I think your workout plan looks great. Do you have any of Cathe's beginner/intermediate stuff? You might add in the full body strength workout from LIS if you have it. That's a good way to get back into weights. How about some low weight/high rep workouts -- that should really help tone your arms and shoulders.

Oh goody -- we get to shop with Diane again!!! :D (seriously, I love it!!). As for the dress -- I would buy a couple of dresses in a couple of sizes and just return whichever one(s) you don't like. Nordstrom's has a great return policy and they make it so easy. Let us know what you decide.

OMG I just realized what time it is and I have to get going here

Robin, Jen, Jennifer, August, Dana, and all, :* :* :* I'll try to come back later for more personals.

P.S. Jennifer -- I really appreciate your advice and kind words about my sister.

I always do this - I forget to check if they have my size. My favorite ones are not available in my size. Ugg.

Hey just quickly checking in while on a call!

Diane- We must have the same taste, I LOVE Nordstrom and I always get dresses and clothes from them- wish I had one here. I like 1, 2, and 4 the best- which were your favs? I see you said they didn't have it in your size? I will look at your rotation tonight, I am going home tonight to relax & veg so I'll have a chance! Ella is adorable and keep sharing pics please.

Michele- Hey! I e-mailed you.

I did Tone It Up last night, was all I had the energy for after some cleaning and grocery store trip. Tonight is my night off! Think tomorrow will be Powerstrike 1 for morning and Reach later in the day. Not sure about Sunday yet, maybe Drill Max- MY FAV!!! :)

Chad called last night- made it to FL safe and was exhausted. He said he'd call tonight also, nice of him to "check in" daily!

BBL!

Hi ladies.

Diane, my favorite is 7, followed by 1, and 6 (but I do not like that color). What ones do you like?

Your plan looks good. Just don't get too disappointed if you don't stick to it daily. Babies are so unpredictable.

Jen how long is Chad going to be in FL?

Michele - how many are you having over for Thanksgiving? My mom is cooking this year.

I'm swamped but just wanted to say hi. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey there!

I'm home between errands so I thought I'd pop back for a sec. I rechecked my weight, too, and now it shows a 1.2# loss since last week  . I don't get it, but you can bet your sweet arse I'm recording the smaller number :p

Oh boy, dresses!!! Let's see what'cha got here:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE #1

#2 is really cute but it's above the knee (why do you want to hide your knees?). I think the blue would be great with your hair and skin tone.

#3 is gorgeous and it's below the knee

#7 -- the Anne Klein -- is tied with #1 for my favorite. This is a gorgeous dress.

I'm kind of lukewarm on the remaining choices. So, which ones are your favorites?

Jen -- thank you for the email. I haven't had time to respond to it yet but I appreciate it and I'll answer as soon as I can :* . I'm glad Chad made it to FL safe and sound. See...see...I told you he'd call everyday;)

Dana - I was so happy to see you today! I want you to find a nice, dull, boring job where you have all kinds of time to post with us -- lol!

I'm cooking for 4 -- me, DH, and his parents -- but I'm doing the whole shebang by myself and we're cooking a turkey with all the trimmings. I love Thanksgiving -- it's my favorite holiday. I sure hope I don't screw it up ;(

Oh boy, I need to get back out there. I'm not even half way through my to-do list ;(

Both 1 and 7 are in my size. I might go with 7 just because it is more versatile and 1 might me more fancy than other attorneys my age are wearing. I really do like 1 though. Maybe I will order both once I figure out what my size is.

Okay I ordered 7! And with free shipping right now, I can always take back and order something else if it doesn't work.

7 was my favorite. You need to show us how it looks. I'm sure you'll look beautiful as always. :)

Michele great job on the weight loss. YEAH!!!!

Jen - I like #1 of the ones you picked but that sure is pricey.

Speaking of expensive, I got a catalog in the mail, some Chef something or other catelog. Everything was so expensive. It was mostly gadgets and stuff. But they had a 7 pound pork loin in there that they were selling for $139.99!!!! I spend around that much every 2 weeks for groceries. Why they sent me that catalog is beyond me. There was a butcher block set of knives that was something like $1300!!!!! CRAZY.

OK, back to work, back to work.

Evening haters! Tonight was my night off, Tara wasn't feeling well so we didn't do drinks which was fine by me b/c I got a lot of errands ran and some leaves raked! :) Wanted to workout but forced myself not too!

Just got off the phone with Chad, he is so exhausted - didn't sleep well last night.

Dana, he gets back Sunday afternoon. :)

Michele- I talked to him about his surgery & got his "okay" that he will not be going alone to St. Louis and I will be taking the day off and going with regardless of what they do so I feel better about that now! He still isn't 100% sure of the date but told him I'd schedule the 29th off & move it if needed. He didn't even argue!

Hello to everyone else, I am going to call it an early night & curl up in bed with my fitness magazine and read it then watch a little TV and crash. Want to get up early and do some cleaning & Powerstrike then plan to do Reach also tomorrow. See you all tomorrow!
